In my opinion you miss the point.
Pride is not in stuff you own but rather in yourself and your accomplishments.
Pride is:
Being a professional at all times when out on the road.
Being a 1,2,3 million mile accident free driver.
Help a fellow driver out on the road when in need.
Not wearing pajama pants, flip flops and a dirty food stained tee shirt when entering a shipper or receiver.
Not relieving yourself in the parking lot 50 ft from the bathroom.
Not emptying your urinal out the window covering the truck next to you.
Not driving around in a truck that is so full of garbage it falls out the door when you stop to fuel.
Not taking a break in the fuel island holding up other drivers who need to roll.
This and so so much more.
None of these things have anything to do with “owning stuff”

It takes time to get rid of debt. I have two credit cards with balances I pay every month. The interest I pay on them is minimal.
1. Restrain yourself. Don't use them anymore
2. Play "musical credit cards". Use the balance transfer offers.... When balance transfer offers expire move the balance to another 0% card. NEVER pay the full interest on credit cards. I have two cards sitting with no balance waiting for my balance transfer offer to expire.
This does work BUT you MUST have reserve funds in savings and you MUST not use them anymore.dwells40, WesternPlains and Cabinover101 Thank this. -
My friends 5 years old boy came close when I was looking this page.
Now he wants her for next Christmas. Daddy is OK. Momma rolled eyes up.dwells40, WesternPlains and Chinatown Thank this. -
Rotflmao. Until a woman has a son of her own it never really clicks that's boys are born like that. Little girls aren't born looking to mate. I remember my son at less than 2 years old obviously and actively flirting with pretty girls...I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myselfSnailexpress, dwells40 and Chinatown Thank this.

well everything but the beer part LOL. i do all of that minus drinking on a regular basis. its the life i tell you.
in all seriousness though, i cannot stand to be away from her for very long. 15 years of marriage and i still feel that way, i guess we are doing OKWesternPlains, Cabinover101, Opus and 1 other person Thank this. -
working christmas was not horrid, the plant was better then expected and the traffic was light.... what i did not like, not being able to see my two sons open presents.
i saw the OTR trucks passing me by realizing that they are far from home and wont see their family. i knew my shift would be over and i would at least have dinner with my wife, two boys, my mother and my sister. i hope most of of the OTR people here made it home for christmas.
all and all, it was not THAT bad. it could be much worse.
am i the only local guy here? the only milk hauler that posts her? i look at it this way, i might be a local guy but i still hold a CDL and like to participate in conversation with other truckers (i do consider myself to be a trucker.)WesternPlains and Cabinover101 Thank this. -
This just can't be true, I don't know how many times I have seen right on this very forum, that women shun anybody when they find out they are a truck driver. lol
You might check his eyes. When I was little got a shotgun first and did fine with it, the next year or so I got my first 22 and could not hit anything with it. Dad noticed I was looking at the sights through my left eye and had me switch to shooting left handed, been that way ever since. I have a left handed daughter that shoots right handed and a right handed son that shoots left handed. lol
The son is kind of lucky, as he will eventually get all my left handed guns. lolMACK E-6, WesternPlains and Hulld Thank this.
