Man, I tell you what, they did a truck called the heart of texas. Man was that a nice truck. I could not have done it any better. I wish I could have a truck tricked out by them. It would be great.

I understand most of the nicknames those guys have, but the one called "Bossman" has a nickname of "the Don".... does anyone know what that means?

A good show to watch cause I like to see what they can do with a tractor. You got to remember it doesn't happen over night....

The acting is So bad, But I just fast-forward pass all that. I just want to see the truck! :)

Anybody seen the show with the BIG 'RV like' sleeper, I think it was Bonnie and Clyde? That has to weigh a lot....

I've seen them do things like take turn signals off one truck (can't remember the name of the truck) and didn't put them back on. I think it was a Peterbuilt. Isn't that a DOT violation?

I see what they are doing to help better the lives of the truckers, but I think that 5th plate cover is useless.....

I hate that show, those guys do the stupidest things to a truck that I have ever seen.

These guys are real craftsmen, no doubt; especially the painter. The themes they come up with, though, are #######. One dude had been recently broken into, so the only idea they could come up with was to trick it out to feel like a jail cell. Brilliant!! Perfectly executed, immaculately finished out, jail cell !!

Well lets put it this way, what those guys do is just not my style. Trucking is a business to me. What those guys do Is in no way going to make the truck more productive or make the owner any more money. From what I see, the trucks look like they would be clumsy to drive, not to mention most of it looks like a maintenance headache.

I guess maybe if you are trying to look cool in front of all the other "lifestyle truckers" hanging around the truck stops it would be ok. But maybe it is just because I hate "lifestyle truckers" because they pull cheap freight and drive the rates down just so they can play billybigrigger.

BillyBigRigger... lol I have never heard that. I was just pickin about the "ugly head of jealousy"... I agree with what you say. The trucks aren't practical for a career truck driver to pay for... just because they want to look cool. In most of the cases, the exterior maintenance was really lacking... which made me wonder how the trucks would look in a couple of years. I have seen them replace at least one engine... which was cool. The coolest part of the show, is that they do something nice for some regular folks. Most of them look like they have had a hard life and it's really cool to see them get a break. That's why I like the show. It really brought it into perspective when I read some of the OTR trucker stories on here about how they don't make a lot of money... and have to be away from thier family.

I didn't know there were some folks considered "lifestyle truckers"... I suppose these folks don't last in the industry? I know thier are some folks that aren't business minded and couldn't handle running a business driving a truck. They would just rather drive for a company, make thier money, and go about thier business. I fully understand that. If a person can make 50k to 90k a year driving for a company... why not. That's not bad money.

Yeah sorry about that. I looked at your posts and kind of figured you might be kidding after I wrote that. BillyBigRiggers are a sore spot for me. I am trying to run a business and those guys will run freight cheap, go way over their hours, speed, tailgate, and run like maniacs just because they think it's cool to live in a truck and smell like a goat. I think they make the whole trucking industry look like stupid yahoos.
