Most companies in the rails and ports will hire anything moving as long as you have a cdl.

 

If Carolina cargo won’t hire you just saying you are done driving for a long while.

Thank you for this info it's very interesting. I'm also paying child support and get garnished weekly. While I was behind they suspended my passport and reported what I owed in arrears on my credit report lol I feel like in cursed but I guess do to gods grace they have never locked me up which happens frequently in new jersey and my license has never been suspended due to child support. Anyway thank you.

 

I can drive and park. I'm good, I had a couple inccedents my first year out like a cracked mirror etc but I've traveled all 48 states thru negative 28 degree snow and ice in weyoming to flooded highways in Houston Texas. I can drive and I'm a fast learner. I drove dump truck before just for a week a buddy got me some side word I drove assfault in front of the milli and paver. I can do anything and I understand I will learn new things every year I just need a chance to learn it.

 

Your CDL does have a risk of being suspended over child support.

I am not exactly 100% when and how, but laws were passed some time ago to deliberately suspend or revoke professional licensing of those who are not paying child support.

If you are paying it, garnishment or voluntarily I don't think they will suspend you. But the moment that gravy train stops and there is nothing income for them to garnish and you do not work or have cash to be chased, then the state will probably suspend your CDL.

Debtors Prison is something not used in the USA for a while. However it does not stop something else from landing someone in jail that may or may not be tied or a complication of the debts.

New Jersey and NY State are the two besides Mass and California 4 together I do not do well in as far as 10,000 crimes committed just by existing and exhaling pollution it seems inside state lines. I live in a free state here in the South and we don't have anywhere half the BS back home Maryland has. Thank god. That's 5 states so far. Let's see how many more... ah. Illinois.

A personal side of my story. We had a person in town years ago fabricate a case and plead hardship in church (For the cillren...) and we provided several thousand dollars in cash at our expense and some hardship on our part to help this person.

In time it came out that it was a total fraud and she blew the money. It was not long after that before others found out and told us of their losses as well. We got angry. Then waited to cool, before filing suit in court seeking recovery of our losses. The court granted our plea and exacted a judgement for that full amount provided we can find this person's income and attach it by order.

Well we did find this person working in a local call center at minimum wage. We sent the order of attachment to the employer who complied. this person quit the same day and disappeared.

We ended up writing off the judgement amount in full to Uncle Sam who made good on our loss on paper. But the judgment stood for 7 years against this person until it fell off the record after we charged off the losses.

We have helped many people in the past over the years with money among other things. Ever since that unfortunate fraud and losses that year we resolved never to help anyone with a dime. (And have not and never will.)

At some point fast forward in time closer to now, we found this person again and this time it was made us to understand that this person was indeed sorry. And it was clear that all of the things that person did wrong in those years before came back to essentially lay waste to this person's entire life for a while.

I am using this person too much in this post, essentially there are things I don't put online too much without being general and somewhat leaving out particulars. We have been on both sides when owing money or being owed money. and that particular person had us hook line and sinker.

Moral of the story, do your best. Pay what you can pay. At some point when the child or children turn 18 that's the end for child support.

We did not have children because of cancer being survivors. And feel somewhat fortunate in a way I suppose with how things have become in society. We do what we can.

 

Yeah I'm located in Vineland new Jersey. I'm 2 hours from hunts point market I have a lot of market and port experience. I love the road tho,wanted to go OTR. I'm humble and willing to take anything. just learned how to drive forklift that's what I been doing the last few months paying off the debt on my license.

 

Really over a weed felony and a scattered but clean suspended license... I'm a great driver... I love trucking I do t wanna do anything else... Thank you and that is what I said. 250 a load 300 miles a day 20 hours a day but I was making good money...
