I have seen city buses that have two sections, connected with a rubber boot. That would be a combination vehicle, requiring a class A.

NO there is no such thing as a class A bus, it doesn't matter if a bus is articulated or not.

The highlighted is a false statement. Again, I hold a Class A with Class B School Bus/Passenger Endorsement. Just because I hold a Class A license DOES NOT mean I can drive a Class B vehicle.
Here I'll prove it: The AU restriction is A: for my contacts - U (actually is U195) restricts me to Class B Hydraulic
The endorsments: B (means I can drive a class B vehicle without this endorsement you are not authorized to drive a class B vehicle) S - School Bus P - Passenger

The same could be said about a class b tank truck, but he was not talking about endorsements.
