Class Action Lawsuit Against Concentra

I'll jump in to this Lawsuit as well. Just got screwed by them at their Moline, IL location. The Doctor Lester Kelty couldn't be bothered to spend more than 5 minutes talking to me about the physical. just looked at me and claimed sleep study! Never mind the fact that my personal doctor who I've seen over 5yrs claims I'm not a candidate for it.

someone who's seen me for 5 minutes Vs. someone that's seen me over 5 years? Who would you be more likely to believe.

 

Just had my physical done about 2 months ago 2 year cert got a 1 year last year Due to BP at 22 years old. I'd rather sue the hospital in techemsa ne than concentra Because my BP was 117/80 2 weeks later at my doc And the lady refused to take my BP via different means I don't trust electronics or on the wall they aren't accurate. I get random drug tested every year and go to concentra. Never have I had a problem never have I had a problem getting a physical done there. Aside from the occasional nurse that doesnt get the if it comes back I'm pregnant I'm cutting it off with a dull hacksaw joke.

Even got a coozie the last time I was I n because the appreciated my politeness every time I come in. I don't have any problem with them. Now then if you wanted to file a class action on Foley carrier services I'd sign and go in on that biggest rip off under the sun. But concentra never an issue.

FWIW techemsa told me I'd have to be tested for sleep apnea at 25 last year because I was a smoker I asked the doc at concentra about that and he told me I was misinformed I was healthy and had no reason to be tested even with as much as I smoke (3.5 to 4 packs a day)

 

Really curious, Where do you find the time to smoke up too 4 packs a day? Smoker here: Assuming smoking regulars not 100's and 18 hours awake and 5 per hour. Trying to bring back the image of cool too the kids lol ? Keep doing it, When I smoke at your level know it's time to stop

Jebus can't even attain 2 packs while drinking. 4 packs is weirdly hilarious. It's a free country, continue on sir you win the prize lol

 

I get bored in the cab while driving. Best way to describe it as soon as I roll the window down and flick one out the window the next one is being lit. It's actually down when I pulled cows (ran 48/2 48 up 2 hours sleep) I killed a carton every day and a half.

I smoked so much to keep me awake when I'm home I kill roughly a pack a day.

I smoke to much but the wife went back to work and it's something to do. I've tried sun flower seeds, chew, dip, just about everything but even as I'm typing this I've got one in my hand smoking it down. I smoke way to much but according to the doc I'm healthy. I should've been put in the ground a year ago according to him. What can I say there's a special place in hell for me...it's called the throne. God don't need me to pull cows in heaven yet and the devil don't want me taking over so here I sit.

And I've been averaging 3 packs a day for the past 3 years still going strong. A mechanical kitty cat don't have nothing on old 8 second ride when the window is rolled down

 

Stupid Concentra. Went to get recertified today. My bp wasn't great at my last physical so I've been working hard to get it down. I lost 50 lbs, cut the sodium and caffeine in my diet, and even quit smoking. My bp today was 120/70, and I thought I was golden until the doc throws out the sleep study. I've got an 18 in. neck, so the doc gave me a 30 day recert pending the sleep study.

Thing is, I'm 6'8". I could see his point if I was 5'5" and 300 lbs, but being taller like I am everything else is going to be proportionally larger as well (well, almost eveything). I talked to my primary care physician about sleep apnea at my last checkup, and he didn't see any reason for a sleep study at this time. Seems like the Concentra doc was just trying to cover his A. Maybe he gets a kickback for referrals or something. Either way, I wish I had twisted his fingers a little harder when he did the grip test.

The best part is, apparently after I get the darn sleep study done, I'm going to have to get the whole physical done again even though there was nothing wrong with it to begin with.

 

Different company but I spoke with one of our flatbed drivers and he does the job well but because of being a bit overweight with a large neck was forced to have and pay for a sleep study and now forced to buy a sleep apnea machine.

 

Most of you are over weight.

I have to echo the sentiment that I do not want an obese truck driver who is morbidly obese where you're seconds away from a heart attack.

 

And i don't want a skinny driver who may have aids driving near my children cause when he wrecks because of his aids his blood will contaminate the ground water.

 

I will say that the sleep study test is another way for them to make money. And it is driven by some of the Mega carriers as they require any drive with a certain bmi to have the sleep study then when u are diagnosed with sleep apnea they require the drive to get the machine from the carrier. In 2 of the megas even drivers who already have machines are required to purchase or lease a machine from the carrier. I would guess this is not concentras policy but the carriers instructions and when you called them on it the carrier played stupid.

 

Concentra hates truck drivers. We should all be in shape and ready to enter the astronaut training program. They only gave my buddy a 1 year card because the end of his little finger is crooked from birth. They said it could flare up at any time.

The DOC at Iowa80 truckstop is very trucker friendly.
