Great thread! I'm fresh out of CDL school with my Class A, tanker, doubles & triples - and I'm in the final stages of getting hired on as a Class B mixer driver in my hometown. The job seems to fit my personal situation perfectly.

I really appreciate Danch asking, and all who have answered.

    Danch Thanks this.

Well, what kind of Class B job are we talking about? If it's just running a box truck around, I could say maybe hold off on that and at least get some T/T time under your belt first. But, if it's something where you'll be doing something like, say, learning how to run a mobile crane as part of a rigging crew, that's not something just anybody gets to do (plus you'll get your T/T time with a job like that, since you'll be driving one of the support vehicles).

Take the job that best suits you. You have a lifetime to drive all the big rigs. Or not. You'll find some jobs just aren't for you, no matter how sweet a deal. I like goat trails others like the Interstate.
