in regards to schnieder, make sure they will ACCEPT you. if they can't have the contract enforced by california law(s), chances are they will either be very picky as to whom they hire, or not hire at all. that signing bonus may NOT APPLY to you...........be very carefull to read all the FINE PRINT.

I have a spotless driving record, never been arrested, in great health, and have held only two jobs in the past 17 years.
Just laid off from the 2nd job after 3.5 years and driving would be a career change for me. From what I have read on the forums I suspect I would be in the top percentile of what these "companies" are looking for in a potential newbie candidate.
Just trying to determine if this local school would be the way to go especially if unemployment foots the bill or if Schneider training academy is the way to go? (two weeks with no pay) Many have posted on pumpkin about the contract situation in California with regards to their CDL training. I visted Schneider in Fontana about 3+ years ago when I was between these two jobs for an orientation and they wanted me back then. Figured that hasn't changed much? Thanks again. :)
