Most of the information that USIS/DAC obtains is from the respective states. Other times, companies that you work for will volunteer ticket convictions that you received while working for them. It's not an exact science. The states themselves are not always accurate in their own records. I've seen instances where a driver's MVR was "updated" and a ticket showed up as late as one to two years after the fact. Unfortunately, driver's have learned a hard lesson in honesty, when a background check is performed for that new job they are taking, and it suddenly pops up after a court clerk finally got around to punching in all those convictions into the respective databases.
ok then TT if a app says how many traffic convictions in last 3 years i can put none right? but if it ask how many citations or moving violations in the last 3 yrs i need to put that down or do you think i should put it down anyway? b/c it does say dismissed i could tell the truth that it was a brand new truck and i was seeing what it would do but any event i was speeding that just sounds like an excuse but thats what happened it had 16 miles on the truck and thank the lord b/c i was most likely doing more? just seeing what it was set at thanks TT dont know what im going to do my boss is trying everything so ill stay im just ready for a change if you know what i mean?
Most every application that I have ever seen asks for convictions, but you are correct to look at the specific wording to determine whether or not it should be offered. Oh my...what a raw deal, but sometimes you get caught when your testing those wings... Well...I wish you the best of luck, whatever your decision may be.
I sure thank you Turbo you have been a great help to me and many others as i can see! keep it up and hopefully ill see you out on the road someday? your a good man!
You're very welcome, and don't hesitate if you need anything else. Someone here can guide you in the right direction.
if a company reports a 'preventable accident' to dac, will it show up on your state mvr? and how about these 'red light' cameras? if you get nailed by one of those, does that get on your mvr?
I have a 91/70 in my car that"s over two years old. I also have a traffic device(red light) that"s over 1 year old. I was laid off 6 mos ago.I am very concerned about these on my 3 yr mvr. I had the 91/70 prior to being hired. The red light was picked up in the company truck .I Was laid off not because of the violations.CAN I STILL GET A JOB OR IS THIS CONSIDERED BAD?
Question...I got a ticket for "operating without equipment as required by law". Violation code E01. I was told by the court clerk it's an infraction and not a moving violation. I applied for a job last week and didn't put it on my application. Tuesday I got an email from the hiring company attached is my mvr report from tenstreet. Well, that violation showed up as conviction although no points. My guess is I'm out of consideration otherwise someone who have called me to seek an explanation. What affect will this have my employment opportunities going forward and how long does this violation stay on my mvr?
