Amen"
even better when its free -
PFJ has bad showers with towles that smell like mildew and some without towles. You just wait and see!

HEH, anywhere you have oilfield workers around, don't expect much from a TS. -
Anytime you have a large chain you will find a few that are bad but for the most part they are good. Also last time I had a bad one they gs e me back the credit and a few more as well as drinks. They do better then TA.
-
Agreed. And truck stops get swamped at times causing many of their services to suffer for 12 hours or so until they can get caught up and straighten everything back out. Plus, "shower duty" is a thankless job that virtually pays nothing thus there is constant turnover in the job and you get inconsistent attention to detail.
I'm a bit unsettled about the wide-spread use of "brown" towels and wash cloths but I can't see keeping my own damp, nasty towels hanging up in a truck, getting nastier by the day so I take my chances with their towels as I do everything else related to trucking in this era. -
please, flying j are okay but a pilot is the pits, overall t/a [etro with allowing an extra towel is far and away the best.
let me guess you have to fuel at pilot flying j mostly?? -
I can fuel anywhere. I have tried them all and out of the 10 or so times At TA I have had bad experiences. But hey stick to where you like. If you find ta good then enjoy.
-
The TA in Wheeling ... enjoy. The slight smell of raw sewage has been going on there for years. I can think of a number of other TA's and Petros I will never shower at again and it has nothing to do with the shower person that or those days in question.

I'm with YA! Only last time I was OTR was mid '80's things sure have changed!
