Petro 2 in Salina, KS, great showers, platinum showers have tv's in the mirrors and rainmakers in the shower.

I do the same thing at truckstops, as far as the restroom test. If the bathroom is nasty i will not eat there. If there is no soap in the bathroom, and its the same one the kitchen employees use, i do not eat there......

Toilet seat covers are a joke. Same thing with paper shower mats. Why anyone would think that would save them from anything is a mystery to me. However, one time i had to wipe my butt with a toilet seat cover, and im glad the bathroom had them.

    uhhhhhhhh what state?

It doesn't taste like cardboard. It is cardboard. However, it really varies a lot. Like, i like the pizza usually, but some j's will rip you off and sell it to you when its waay past its prime (you can tell by looking at it), some will rip you off price wise, and recently i think i may have eaten it for the last time ever...the crust had this strange earthy taste, like dirt...ew.

The J in my town will cook me a pizza in the middle of the night as long as im buying the whole thing, lol. And they do a good job...and they have mozzarella sticks, which is apparently a michigan thing. All the flying Js in michigan seem to have mozzarella sticks at the deli, and they are really good. The rest of the deli, however...cardboard.

But the absolute worst Flying J i have ever been to was in Vaudreuil/Dorion, Quebec...Autoroute 540, exit 3 iirc..i have a specific post #####in about this place on this forum. Oh my god. But the "douches" (showers) are atleast decent. The sad thing is that it is in quebec but most of the workers speak better english than some truckstops in the US..Very sad.

Problem is I had to go there a lot when I worked for Werner, because it is pretty much the only truckstop anywhere near Montreal.

Shhhh! Truck and Travel is kind of a sleeper. Most just head over to nasty Pilot across hwy. Kind of run down outside, but lots of room to maneuver OD load and little cafe next door-Chuck Wagon- can turn out some good food if they want to.

If your traveling up or down I-95 or I-85 in the state of Virginia,..You simply cannot beat the showers at DAVIS TRAVEL PLAZA....In my humble opinion, they have the BEST showers up and down the entire length of I-95
