Cleaning air tanks

    Can anyone help with tips on cleaning air system on FH12 Volvo. We were told methylated spirits, but not sure how to actually do it.

    clean it from?
    what was inside it that you have to clean it?
    Be carefull with cleaning agents in airsystem...........they might destroy your valves!!:biggrin_25513:

    your air dryer should take care of most everything. if not dump a couple quarts of air guard in the system, when you are unhooked. charge the system, manually drain tanks. you might want to check your air dryer filter also.
