You just go to the website and conduct a query on yourself. It does it right away and then you forget about it for a year. Not sure what emails you are talking about. Did you register your account as o/o?

I do everything in June/July but when they mandated this a couple of years ago I did it in February, I think? My last one was Feb. of last year. But you're right, I need to get organized on this.

I have done that but as stated above I didn't get it done this year in February when my annual was due, and I didn't get a notice. I didn't know I was behind until a couple days ago. I've got another problem, they are saying my account has timed out due to inactivity???? I've got to call them today. Due every year, 4 months behind and they close my account due to inactivity?

Already late, start doing it in June/July.

If you just did it now, you can do it again then.

    Rideandrepair and 86scotty Thank this.

I got this sorted out yesterday. When I did this the first time I wasn't told or shown, or couldn't figure out how to register as employer and driver. I had to use my wife and her email to be my administrator. What this did is cause multiple emails that didn't jive with the Clearinghouse/FMCSA website. I had to clean all that up.

For anybody still reading I was told something pretty interesting and stupid by FMCSA yesterday. If you don't log on for a year they tag your account as inactive and you have to reregister. Pretty stupid. As an O/O I rarely log on. The lady said I would pretty much have to reregister for portal access every year at this rate.

Yep, no log in and it’s inactive. Heard that myself recently. I didn’t do one last December, since I was Driving for someone else. I’m sure they did one. I guess I’m current in their system through my employer. His problem to worry about. I did forget to update the first time around. Updated it 4 month late. Never heard anything about it. I don’t know why the drug consortium can’t be the one to do a query. Would make things easier. It’s just one more thing to have to deal with, or else!!! Wonder what they’ll come up with next? Anything to justify the Bureaucracy itself.

I am having the same issue. Need to get it taken care of again. Stupid the way they have this set up. Had it set up correctly and did not log in and do another inquiry. I believe it is like every 3-6 months it will start to reset again now. Started this year I guess from what I read.

The lady I talked to was super helpful and she was just as frustrated with all the reregistering/inactive problems as I was. Sounded to me like that's what she fixes all day every day now.

And I'm about sick of coming up with New passwords. FMCSA isn't the only one by any stretch but all of this minimum 25 character BS using every F'n character on the keyboard and not being able to reuse any combination of the last 5 passwords or whater. It's madness.

No doubt, I have to write everything down now as before I could make sure it was not wrote down on anything so no one could get my passwords. Now it is logged down and I am not a fan of it. My password is so messed up that no one can ever figure it out even when I tell them what it is most of the time, Ha ha
