    Same as i hear here.
Too much horsepower with light loads...............=trouble.
Aldough here it is mostly boxtrucks and garbage trucks who have problems.

It was a 455hp truck specced for dry van hauling. It also had an apu.

The biggest def buildup I saw was a Badger hydrovac unit with a isx12. Kept throwing vgt mechanical position codes. Turns out the massive def buildup in the decomp tube was limiting exhaust flow to throw vgt codes. Icicle was a foot long.
The badger trucks are 90% loaded to maintain highway speed and 50- 70% loaded running the blower. They get worked very hard with only the 12l. No idea if this unit happened to get alot more idle time then standard.

    Yes. MX13-17

If it makes you feel any better we just finished a ISX15 in-frame. The main idler gear fell off the front geartrain. Yes as in all the bolts fell out!!!!! Broke half the rockers in two. 435K on the clock with no repair history and regular service's. Some things just happen and to that we say.......?????? Oh well. Fix what's in front of you and move on.

This one pictured above will get a complete engine under warranty.
