Now they’re pushing 3,200 hp out of the 12v 6.7 with triple turbos and only 140 psi boost.
Those engines are now so reliable, all they need are seasonal oil changes.

And I thought the spring bushings in my 900 were pretty bad when I pulled the steer axle out. I only had like 1/16" or so of play in them.650cat425, Shawn2130, spsauerland and 3 others Thank this.

It makes it even worse when the rest of the truck is super nice. Lots of chrome, big stacks, good paint scheme. Owner was a bit embarrassed lol. Granted we somehow missed it on the last safety....650cat425, Shawn2130, spsauerland and 3 others Thank this.

I see all these pics and I'm seriously debating going back to working on trucks again. KW has a massive shop just up the road from me. I'll admit I'm a bit intimidated to work on trucks again though. Been over a decade since I've wrenched on a truck that's not my 900.

It all comes back. Pulling wrenches is pulling wrenches. Computer side changes up alot but if you know cat et and sis well it all transistions somewhat. Be warned Davie sucks compared to Cat et

DAVIE is growing on me. Just wish the testing allowed me to cut-out multiple cylinders and have never been able to find monitor for A/C fan cycle switch. I have been told it is there, but I have been to dumb to find it!pushbroom, 650cat425 and daf105paccar Thank this.

That is some rotten and busted head bolt.
It looks like the owner has been greasing his truck. Grease can only do so much once things get worn.pushbroom, 650cat425 and daf105paccar Thank this. -
Well shoot, after seeing the photo of the spring shackle provided by Pushbroom, it gave me a better idea what to look for under the truck I drive.
I’m underneath doing electrical and decided to give a good peek at the shackles.
Turns out, despite the greasing the shackle receives, it’s worn exactly like the photo above.
Thank you for the photo Pushbroom.
Now to talk to my boss about replacing them.pushbroom, AModelCat, spsauerland and 2 others Thank this.
