Way overkill. They ussually pop out with ease with a heel bar. The old holdown bolt threads right in the top and can also be popped with a traditional prybar. -

I've overhauled a handful of those, primarily AI motors in CV Mack's. Still better than MP motors in our GU's. Hate those oil leaking things.

The few few guys that have done it are posting 1.5+ mpg over factory -
Isx motor. All the insulation came off around the dpf leaving the filter media to bounce around inside the can. Insulation is now on the face of the scr causing excess backpressure.
