This IR231 Snapped a rotor shaft yesterday while I was changing lift axle tires.
Not sure how old this thing is but it sure went a long time and never weakened.
Rebuild kit coming in.
Also have a IR 2135Ti as well that needed an anvil. The 231’s anvil went into the 2135. Now I have a working 2135 againGod prefers Diesels, Flint1, 650cat425 and 6 others Thank this. -
Those 231's are good reliable guns, I still have one. Never use it with cordless and the lighter weight 2135ti I have as well.
Shop online for deals on new anvils. Found them pretty cheap compared to IR.Flint1, 650cat425, Shawn2130 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I’ll check on the IR site -
This morning as I bobtailed with the old ford to a Township yard move a conveyor.
As I was driving over, I noticed a loss of power and I can see in the small convex mirror that’s aimed at my stacks. Continuous black smoke.
Crap. Turbo must be gone.
I drive back to the company yard which was only 5-10 mins away.
Once there, I turned off the old kitty. I can feel the turbo grinding through the truck while spinning down.
