Well, it took some persistence and a good relationship with a service manager in order to get Paccar to cover the price of the DPF. Policy account drys up this time of the year was the long hold up.
Had to put first injector in one of our EPA 13 MX13 today. Of course it had to be #6 in T880 with MX optimized hood. First time I have had to take brake pedal off for an injector job. -
spsauerland: does the chains look like they’re holding up a cab from the outside?
spsauerland Thanks this. -
You have to raise cab about 8" in order to remove injector pipe (quill tube). They have two front lift points on cab at least. DAF engineering vs KW engineering!

The big trucks are becoming little pickups. Everything is getting smaller.spsauerland Thanks this.

I would gladly remove the aftertreatment module from the top of a loader engine to get at the valve cover than lift a cab up lol.
pushbroom, 650cat425, daf105paccar and 2 others Thank this. -
I was able to get #6 tubes out on a T800, but not on a Pete heritage cab without jacking up cab.
-
It actually went surprisingly fast and smooth. Had to do it in other side of shop because have one I am inframing in my bay (Cummins junk). Closer tools and use of my gantry crane would have sped it up more.pushbroom, Dale thompson, daf105paccar and 2 others Thank this.

Thanks for reminding me why I like a long hood
Rubber duck kw, LameMule and 650cat425 Thank this.
