That spring must be shot, too. No way that's holding in a healthy spring.

Not my truck. Just a victim of a river ice jam.

That dump truck was parked there when the ice jam happened?

I biked passed the truck the day before SHTF. Driver side steer tire was off the bead. Next day the water level came up probably 10 feet. Overall I estimate water was probably a couple feet above the stacks by the time it peaked.

That's nasty. Poor truck. It will be missed. Hats off, head lowered.

Because of the now implemented SPIF rules in place for lift axles, this dump truck has done it’s last drive as it’s now parked out back.

Just a few weeks before the new rules came into effect, the engine suffered a heart attack which now has excessive blow by and billowing white/blue smoke.

For a 1990, this is a nice truck to drive. Very comfortable cab.

I’ll miss seeing it on the road doing what it does best, haul loads with ease and looking good while doing it. (Truck is actually almost rust free.)

    After it was “cleaned up”
1984 2.4 liter TD Bmw/Ford. 376,000 miles. Had been burning a little coolant for awhile due to cracked head ( common failure with these). Finally just lost compression and one night it was parked in the garage and shut down and next startup it wouldn’t fire anymore. Cranking Compression wouldn’t read on gauge. Spec is around 300 psi. 22 to 1 when healthy.

@SmallPackage that makes me really not looking forward to tearing into the head gasket on my service truck. Being busy with work and working on the money maker trucks, all that time for bad things to happen in there.

Always thought that a 3116 would be pretty neat in her, (1981 Chevy K30) but didn't want to start that project for a good while.
