    AmodelCat:

I’ve already started giving the younger guys that Close the ****** door, we are not heating the planet.

We don’t need to turn on the heater yet as the shop is at comfortable temp from the summer yet and the door open is bringing the temps down.

Them younger boys think they’re all tough and can take on the cold. I used to work in the cold in just a t-shirt but now my fingers get cold don’t work well anymore.

    cold tools sucks.

It drives me nuts. Doors are open and the heaters are going full bore. Literally just burning money.

The boys did that last winter, leave the door open and the thermostat fires up the heater.

I asked them if they leave their house door open. No, they said…..

They like burning boss money, not their own.

That's the attitude these days. They don't want to shut the door, go grab a machine from the yard, then have to get out and open the door again to drive it in the shop.

    Yeah.

especially the bay doors. They open wide open, go start the machine out in the yard and drive it in.

By then all the heat is gone

Operator of our dozer was doing a parking lot on Friday.

he gave me a time of 2 pm to come and trailer the dozer back to the yard when he finished with it.

I arrived at 2 pm to pick up the machine but they weren’t quite done levelling and packing.

While waiting, I was speaking to one of our guys about the wiring issues for starting the dozer and the speed sensor for the drives that when they get fixed, it’s a good machine again.

    Spoke too soon…. F72F20A4-D869-431E-8AB5-6ADF40A168A6.jpeg

The blade popped off the ball as the operator was back dragging.

The guy I was speaking to nearly fell down on the ground laughing while the operator was pointing to get my attention to the blade.

The guy laughing tells the operator that I jinxed the machine by saying it’s a good machine once some issues are fixed.

Operator’s shaking his head at me for jinxing his machine.

I said it’s likely the full moon we had.

I was hauling gravel with a live bottom trailer today. While unloading at the customer, the lift axle air spring shredded and ripped the air everywhere.

I felt the explosion in the cab and in the mirror I saw the customer jump then covered both of his ears as he was near the trailer by his mini excavator.

I’m too young to remember the twin sticks besides for sitting in the seat making vroom noises. So I got to ask what does it mean to round one?
