I started to say you won't be far from Memphis but I saw you had to go Alabama to reload. I was gonna say BBQ time if you got delayed up to Wisconsin lol.

I ended up hooking to 4065, one of their newest trailers. Do any of yall issues with leaking air when you hook the red air line?

Hi guys. New here so advance apologies for annoying questions. I anticipate coming over to climate express very shortly, my application is in the pipeline (spotless mvr, safety record and clean dac so I'm not anticipating any hiccups) . I've got 2yrs otr, mostly dry van with a few months of flatbed ( I'm a 51yr old female and although I loved flatbed my body contested quite a bit, lol) all that being said I've never run Reefer and I admit I'm a little anxious. But excited to keep learning all the equipment in my industry. Also looking for a long term company that is stable. My last outfit I drove for 8mths for them and LOVE THEM TO DEATH! I still talk to the owner but they only have 9 trucks and just got their authority in 2022 so in this market, struggling is an understatement for them. I was loyal and even drove for almost a 50% pay decrease up until they started using a out-sourced, sub-contract, commission-based dispatcher based In Chicago. Without going into details, that should give you a good enough picture,
But I do have a question...
Although I like to stay out longer stretches and accumulate 4-5 days off I was told that this company will get me home every other weekend, not how I usually run but I'm gonna try it and it might be nice to get home more often‍♀️ BUT does this mean you guys are running your 70s out then running on recaps for the remainder of days ur out until you get home for ur 2 days? Or do you guys do 34s out on the road?
Sorry for the long post, lol

Good morning and welcome aboard!!! Climate. Definitely gas that firm 2 weeks out 2 days at at home policy. I usually stay out a month or so. Sometimes I run on recaps and other times I can get a 34. It really depends on the how the loads fall. Where do you stay?

I'm outta tulsa, AND wagoner ok. Lol. My kids and grandkids live in tulsa and my house is about another hour south in wagoner, ok off FT. Gibson lake. I'm a country girl and like to live close enough to my family (but not TOO close, lmao) but my home is on the lake so I have easy access to fishing, swimming, kayaking, etc when I make it home off the road

I just applied to Climate Express. They denied my application. Driving since 2008 decent psp score I believe. No violations on clearinghouse. :dark1:

How many miles you guys running a week? And is climate moving mostly customer freight or broker freight? What do they have you governed at, cruise and pedal? Again apologies.. . My recruiter was sweet as pie but also straight forward that she couldn't tell me much on the dispatch side of things. Which if she had, I'd know it was bs anyway (so i have mad respect for the honesty, most company recruiters just lie thru their teeth to get you in the seat) because we all know trucking is a take it as it comes, roll with the punches kinda industry. If you ever wanna hear God laugh just tell him your dispatch/trucking plans!
I usually stay out 5-7 weeks, close to 2 months then come home for a good week/8 day stretch but I guess that won't be happening at climate. It might be a nice change of pace to be home more often. Gonna see if it works for me. We all have different life/home situations and different ways to truck. I'm a little older and kinda like to keep to a somewhat regular sleep pattern which is how I operate best on all cylinders but of course trucking is not a 9-5 and I love it for that reason too❤️ #truckerlifestyle

The distant between my actual house and my kids/grandkids is why I don't really like the 2 days at home thing. When I ran flatbed that was kind of their routine, we did our 34s at home on weekend. It just kind of tears me in two directions, go home and do laundry, cook and get rest OR spend time with grandboys, kids and family, not enough time to do both though. I feel like the 2 days off is better suited for family men/women rather than single/unmarried drivers with adult children. Idk. Gonna see if it works for me. Seems like climate has the miles and decent enough pay and so far I like the vibe. I began my career at a mega carrier, I ran for a small carrier (9 trucks in fleet) I'm hoping climate is the goldilocks fleet that's just right, not too big, not too small.

Reefer freight is a crapshoot for a normal schedule but most of the hands on this thread seem to make it work.
