I run line haul for Old Dominion and our mileage rate is .8228cpm plus all our drops/hooks and fueling is paid. I run 628 miles a day doing a meet and turn. It takes me 9 1/2hrs to turn it in a 70mph assigned tractor. My gross for the week is $2706.59. Last year I grossed $146,000 on a longer run. Linehaul is the easiest gig I've had in my 30yrs of trucking. I've been here at OD for 12yrs and wished I'd been here from day one.

I looked at FedEx freight but couldn't find any job results in the search criteria for my area. Tried Old Dominion too with nothing. Guess I'm not holding my mouth right. I'd love to make that kinda coin. We're not starving and we're still saving a little bit but it's not easy with momma being at home not working. She wants back in a truck but has said she may try to get on at Walmart if she can't drive again.Sirscrapntruckalot, Lumper Humper and Knucklehead Thank this.

My AC acted up again. Have had it in the shop at Love's and at Mack. It works for awhile after it gets out of the shop an then stops cooling at an idle. Boss got me a hotel for Saturday an Sunday. Gonna run to Danville KY an load corn to North Carolina. Then grab some rock to get back North. Have to get truck into a shop up there an hope to get it fixed. How's life treating ya?Sirscrapntruckalot and bryan21384 Thank this.

@Professor No-Name sorry to hear about the ac woes, this is strange because I have always sung the praises of the ac in both of my anthems, I’ll ask a simple question, probably stupid but I’ll ask it anyway, do you regularly keep up on the cab filter? I know it’s an act of congress to get to it, but I change mine about every 3 months, they get pretty filthy especially with the kind of work you and I do.
Knucklehead Thanks this. -
Yeah I change the filters regularly. If it were easier to get to I'd clean it out every week. 1st trip to Love's they said it was 2 pounds low on freon. They purged the system an checked for leaks and charged it. Said no leaks. Cools fine going down the road. Stop an sit at an idle for the day an it quits cooling in front. Still blowing cool air in bunk. Go drive it an it starts working again. Took it to Mack. They couldn't get it to malfunction after driving it an letting it idle in shop for 30 minutes. They said it had 4.5 pounds of freon in it. Spec is 4 lbs. So they purged it , checked for leaks , and said it was fixed. Spent 254 bucks at Love's. Spent approximately 400 bucks at Mack. Spent 900 total at Mack but most of that was for a new air dryer cartridge. It's gotta be either a bad sensor or maybe a/c clutch going bad. I'm just guessing though.Sirscrapntruckalot, bryan21384 and Knucklehead Thank this.

Oh another thing is my warning for air intake restriction keeps popping up telling me to check the air filter. I had it replaced 30000 miles ago. I've taken it out an cleaned it but it really wasn't very dirty at all.bryan21384 and Knucklehead Thank this.

Keep looking and eventually you'll find OD or FedEx hiring in your area. My normal meet and turn driver was off on vacation and the kid that was covering the run has only been here at OD for 90 days. I meet Springfield Missouri so I know they definitely hired a driver recently.Lumper Humper, bryan21384, High Stepper and 2 others Thank this.

Im still at Meiborg and I have gotten a new 2026 international LT. Has the brand new S13 motor in it and is supposed to get really good fuel economy. Only had 126 miles on it when I moved in yesterday. I drove up from Rockford to Milwaukee to pick up at miller brewery so we’ll test this fuel economy right off the bat
Lumper Humper, bryan21384 and Knucklehead Thank this. -
Oughta be quiet different from a freightliner. What brand of truck did you start in at Meiborg? Glad it's working out for you!bryan21384, Knucklehead and mdmgolfin Thank this.
