They ended up switching that load off of me. I ended up going to Woodburn to reload for Holts Summit.

We're just in the planning an saving stage right now. I'd prefer to run under someone else's authority to start with. But if I save up enough than my boss wants to sell me my truck and trailer. With doing that I'd have to get my own authority.

Oh ok....they're nice folks there in Conestoga. You're right in the midst of that terrible weather. Has it let up finally?

I'd be lying if I said no but I'd need about 130k. That'd be enough to buy this truck and trailer, plus enough to get the authority, insurance, plates, and permits. I'd still have some start up money and maintenance money to get rolling with. I could chop 20 or so off that by buying one of the older trailers. In my mind that's going in the hole quite a bit to get started. I can find a decent used truck for under 50k an run under someone else's authority to start. Then I could build capital and get a trailer and authority later. While I take forever to pick my option, I'm saving up a down payment and start up money. I just wanna do it right and give myself the best opportunity to succeed. A buddy of mine recommended finding a decent lease purchase opportunity, but we've certainly all heard the horror stories about those. Not saying that they're aren't some success stories, but they're far an few between.
