The camera picks up parking on the on ramp and calls it a coachable event. If you're parked longer than 3 or 4 minutes, it sends a video and a coaching but it's no big deal. It don't count against the safety score. I park on the ramps all the time. The first one I got, I actually watched the video....just because I wanted to make sure the camera didn't catch me taking a piss lol.Professor No-Name, wulfman75 and Peace_Maker Thank this.

Safety don't even care about that. I sleep on the ramps and side streets all the time. I did that last time I went to Brookshire, and that was like 2 weeks ago. They didn't say anything. The camera just picks up random stuff. They don't watch for that. If you're speeding, or following too close, or hard braking too much, then they'll call you or bring you in for a conversation. That's what I gathered from other drivers who got a lecture from safety. They did hit me up for a few mistakes, logging once. I didn't show pre/post trips on split sleeper berths, and the couple of times I got cash advances, I didn't know I was supposed to stay on duty if I request it at that pump. Now if you go inside with the card, cash advance no fuel, then I don't have to go to line 4........oops. lolProfessor No-Name and Peace_Maker Thank this.

I found a spot at the Flying J. I reload out of Coke in Waco. But not until Saturday morning. Then it's off to Aurora, CO Kroger. That's not a great place to unload.
Friend and bryan21384 Thank this. -
That's a different run than normal. You're surely right about that Aurora, CO Kroger. I certainly don't envy any driver that has to go to a Kroger warehouse. That's a nap waiting to happen.wulfman75, 48Packard and Peace_Maker Thank this.

Any advice on McLane in Charlotte, NC? There doesn't seem to be anywhere nearby at all to park. The 7-11 recommended in the dispatch has a bunch of negative reviews for some tow scam going on. I'm not seeing a feasible (decent) parking spot within 90 miles. I deliver to McLane at 0300.

Hey there. I start my new gig June 8th. I'll be pulling a Conestoga and maybe doing some end dump work now an then. I'll post pics when I get them. I'll be going home once or twice a week and every weekend. I'll be day cabbing it so I'll get motels when I'm out overnight.hotrod1653, Friend and bryan21384 Thank this.

The directions the company gave you should have you turning on Chesapeake to get there. Drive on Chesapeake all the way to Auten Rd and hang a left. You'll probably see a sign for weight limit or restriction for trucks but disregard it. You'll only need Auten for a short distance, maybe a block. Turn left on Black Satchel off of Auten and park on the side of the road parallel to the docks. Once you turn off Auten, Black Satchel curves around back to Chesapeake. I always parked facing Chesapeake because you'll have to turn off Chesapeake to get into the truck entrance. When you wake up, you'll just hang a right on Chesapeake and the truck entrance is on the right. I slept all night on Black Satchel, and they didn't say anything so I think you'll be fine there.

Nice!!! Did your company decide to get into conestoga or did you switch companies altogether?Friend Thanks this.
