I am doing a 34 at the Robinson, TX Pilot. Leaves about 25 miles to delivery. I think I've used reserved parking maybe 4 times in all of 2020. I always used points to pay for it though.

Yea i use points when i have enough. But the wife an i used around 300 to 400 in points between us at Christmas to help spoil the grandkids. So we're rebuilding now. I just think when ya pay cash it should be reimbursed as a cost of doing business. I don't use paid parking unless it's absolutely necessary. I don't even agree with the idea that there is paid parking. Someone here while back in a review said quit complaining about paid parking, that those complaining didn't understand capitalism. Well capitalism was alive an well when i started driving in 94 and as i remember most all parking was free back then.

Right....whoever said that to you is an idiot. Talking like capitalism hasn't been going in since forever. Paid parking only gained steam because of the ELD Mandate. They saw an opportunity to take advantage of drivers who just HAVE TO sleep at truck stops, the corporate ones at that. A lady at Pilot claims that the drivers were all for paid parking. I don't necessarily have a problem with Climate not reimbursing us, well me, because I so rarely use it, and I personally dont think it's that difficult to find somewhere to sleep, my black ### will sleep pretty much anywhere when I get that sleepy lol.

You're a riot dude. Anyway yea i always exhaust free options 1st. I'm just saying, it seems the way the pilots an t/a keep increasing the # of paid spots vs free spots it seems like one day they'll turn into 100% paid. Loves don't charge. But once the majority of truck stop parking becomes paid then all companies should have to reimburse for it. That cost shouldn't fall on the driver. We always park at a customer but that's not always possible. And if you're goin anywhere on the east coast or near any major cities free parking is scarce late at night. Not everyone can be done early in the day when it's easy to find parking. All just my opinion.

You're right about that, the thing with Climate is that so many runs are so predictable in which I've came up with hideouts here and there. The east coast does get challenging though. Maybe Climate is scared drivers will abuse it, like on weekends or something

Drivers did start abusing it. That's why they quit reimbursing us.

When ya coming back out @Lumper Humper? We're at bentleyville Pa. Wife just finished up cooking our supper meat for the week. She made stew meat with peppers an seasoning. We'll have that with steak sauce an side salad for suppers. Sounds yummy! Gonna head on over to jersey in a few.
