Climate Express

Mine has an outlet but it don't work. They'll let you have an inverter. Bring it to orientation if you come because they want to install it for you. Climate's policy is you can have whatever you like in the truck, CB, inverter etc. Those types of things, the shop has to install it for you. Its basically for them to know exactly what's going in with the trucks.

 

Give me about 5 more months...it should be dull by then

Bro, I don't really look at reviews or face book pages all that much. The people that whine about this company have probably whined about out other companies. All I can do is keep giving updates about my experience so far. The basic concept of trucking is pretty much the same everywhere, pick up loads and deliver them. All companies have the same objective, to make money. They're pretty much the same. I am only a month in, and so far its it's good. They were straightforward when I talked to them about working here. They've been straightforward ever since. I was at the terminal earlier and the operations and logistics manager said that if you're a hard worker and a runner, you'll make it here. They won't babysit you here. They don't have time. If you #### around, then you'll have a rough time at Climate Express. Real talk, that's the case anywhere. They may not pay the best in terms of cpm, but you can make a living. The biggest strength that sets them apart from other companies is that these dispatchers plan loads very well. When I say it's a well oiled machine, it isn't because of bias. It's really the truth. I have not sat one time waiting for a load. The efficiency compared to previous companies is bar none the best I've experienced. Their planning skills is what makes it far less stressful than other jobs I've had. Now I can't speak for those guys or gals on Facebook, but from my point of view, this fits the description of a good company. The first thing that was ever told to me when I started driving: "In trucking, you get what you put into it." That's yet to be disproven in my experience........

 

So far it's been about 50/50 between drop and hook and live loads. In fact, I live loaded today in Texas. It was the first live load this week. I am dropping it at the terminal in the morning. We do carry chains on the trucks. We travel roads that may require chaining. I haven't been any farther west on 70 than Denver. I did pick up a load of potatoes in Monte Vista, CO about 2 weeks ago. They won't force anyone to chain up. Safety is key here.
