    They send us down 44 to 40. Then over to flagstaff an down 17. 17 has a stretch of downgrades that lasts for 18 miles. It has one more stretch but the 2nd one is only like 4 or 5 miles. But that 1st stretch can eat ya up if your not paying attention. I have a lot of guys sail by me in that stretch but i keep it at 45 or less an let the jakes do their thing. I can get through it without having to use the brakes more than 3 or 4 times.

    Those drivers are some thrill seekers aren't they? I came northbound on 17 back when I worked for Western. The AC went out going up the hill....it was about 110 that day, talk about stripping down with a quickness.
