I don't know who thought it all up. All i know is i wasted my whole night doing what i consider city work. They must not a had any local guys available or they didn't have something else for us to do. They had us grab a load from a guy at Love's in bridgeton. Takin it to Jacksonville illinois delivering it then stopping to get a trailer tire fixed which coulda been done by the other driver while he waited for us to get there then goin to the house. I didn't need to get home till tomorrow but they said this was all they had to get us home with.

Geez man, you had to take a serious punch to the check to get home. That is city work to the max

Yea i know it. An on that trailer i ended up getting 2 tires replaced and a valve stem replaced on a separate tire. The previous driver had the trailer since he loaded it in temple texas and who knows how long prior to that. Was sitting at Love's in bridgeton mo where he had a tire replaced on his tractor. In my opinion that's a lot of time to have a trailer to have not seen the low tire white light coming on to have indicated a problem. Also a lot of time to have had that trailer to have not at some point seen the flat spots on two side by side tires that were flat spotted enough that the two tires looked as if they had been dragged. I mean they were very obviously junk.

I know what you means. Some of the other drivers dont care. The trailer I picked up Craftsmen the other day had a bad tire too. No tread whatsoever. Behind it, a mud flap was gone. I ran over to East St. Louis Pilot to get it fixed. That trailer is now in Palmyra. Here lately, every time I get a trailer, the tires look dragged like when the yard dogs dont wait for the trailer to air up and they drag it out of its spot. Everytime I get one at Silgan there is a tire with a dragged spot on itProfessor No-Name Thanks this.

Yea a buddy of mine always says to not stop an get stuff fixed cuz of me hooking onto trailers so often that others didn't get stuff fixed. But i hate when it happens to me so i always try to get things fixed. There have been times when there's stuff that's not a dot problem where larry says just let dispatch know to get it routed thru the shop.

I will do that too, if it can go and I can recognize that isn't a DOT issue, I'll send a message in a heartbeat. I lucked up yesterday. Two drop and hooks in a row and I didn't have an issue. I dropped 3929 in Edwardsville yesterday but that's one of the brand new trailers. I have 3634 now and it was perfect. I'm headed out to TR Toppers in Pueblo for Tuesday morningLumper Humper Thanks this.
