Actually they can fire you at anytime, and they can put you off their property and say see ya. It has been adjudicated by the courts, that company's are not financially required to get a person home. However I agree with you, that if you have a top hand, surely an exception or two could be made?????

I mean which is worse, spending a couple hundred to insure a good driver stays, or spend 2 or 3 thousand to recruit bring in and orientate anew driver that may or may not work out.

I know this sounds mean, but since they're all so worried about something happening in to Tk if I take it home, Maybe a new guy will hit while I'm gone.LOL

If your truck is relatively a new truck, more than likely they want it to keep moving and not down for 4 weeks..

Oh no they made it clear that no one will drive it while I'm convalescing, they are just worried that someone will hit it while it sits for 3 to 4 weeks. Funny thing is, every time I go home, it sits for 4 days, and if you add up all the times I've been home with it, well it adds up to slot more than 4 weeks.

I drew a potato load to moberly for 00:30 on friday. I will ask for layover pay even tho it's not what i would've made had they ran me all day Thursday. I'll be in moberly by 6 or so tonight. Way too much downtime the last 2 weeks. Kinda feels like i got punished for taking an extra day off on my last hometime. That may sound paranoid, but just how it felt.

I'm at the shop, my wife will be here in 20 min. While I've been waiting, Rob called me in for"coaching on the camera", he just showed me where the camera cought me doing 10 to 15 miles over the limit. He was real cool and just asked me if I wouldn't do it as much. Anyway you guys keep the Company afloat while I'm gone, I think slot of y'all, so be safe my fellow Climateers. Be back in 3 or 4 weeks.
