Got a graduation to go to an gonna try to get some odds an ends stuff fixed on my truck while i got some downtime. Wednesday i will take this loaner trailer to the dealer at princeton il an get mine back. Got brakes, seals, s-cams, an bushings done on it. It'll be good to go for a while. Next thing it will get is new tires. It has super singles on it so they're gonna get swapped out at 4/32nds depth. Be safe everyone.

I generally like to run about 420-450 miles (6.5-7 hrs) and shut down for a 10, wash rinse repeat. Doing so, on a perfect day, allows me to do 900 miles in a 24hr period, and 1300+ in a 48hr period, all while maintaining my sanity, and preserving my body, as well as my 70 (running like this I take far less 34hr resets than the average driver).
Would I be a good fit for Climate? I've read the term "Climate Miles" several times on here, along with quite a few posts from drivers doing 600+ runs a day, and it made me question whether my method of planning and driving would work at Climate. Do they require yall to max out your hours every day? Do they give you loads that force you to run balls to the wall every day? Or do they not care how you run, just as long as you get to your p/u and del on time?

Their loads usually have an ample amount of time for delivery. I’d pick up a coke load Friday near St. Louis delivers Monday in Denver

You can run however you like as long as you get there on time. I myself typically run no more than 500 miles a day for the same reasons you run how you do, but if I have to run 600 plus, I'll get it done. Climate Miles are special miles....designed for those runners that can run like road warriors lol. We have 800 or 900 mile runs that they expect you to make delivery by the next day, so if you can adjust to running at minimum 27-2800 miles weekly, you'll fit in. 3000 miles for a lot of companies is occasional. For us, it's a way of life lol.

Personally I've never been able to manage my time well enough to take it easy as far as keeping the time worked daily or miles ran to shortened like that. I've always ran up against the brink regularly. And now that I'm a getting up there in age I have figured out that I certainly am not as young as I once was. I have certainly not taken very good care of myself.

Hope everyone has a great memorial day. A special shout out to all my brother Vets, keep the faith. Been doing ok, Justin has been really piling on the Climate Miles. Sitting in Pueblo at the target, it always takes hours to get unloaded here. It's all good though as I will be on vacation next week. Hey Brian, how much longer for you to join your fellow Climateers back out on the road?? Again a safe Memorial Day to everyone. Always remember, there are a lot of dead heroes buried around the world who made it possible for us to live the great way of freedom!
