Dang man, I was at the yard getting some work done at the time you posted that. You should talk to Kenny or someone in that department before leaving. Larry can be a real prick at times, and they definitely know that. He's crossed lines, never with me, but with other drivers. True story: down in Dallas, one of our female drivers at the time knocked on my door while I was on a 10 hr break. We unloaded at Tops there. She couldn't slide her axles. Rather than call someone out there, he actually told her "to get one of our male drivers to look at the trailer." I just so happened to be there sleep because I unloaded in the wee hours there. I get dressed, and took a look at it, and one of her air lines were bent and that's why she could slide the axles or release breaks. When she told me what Larry said, I was floored. I heard they made Larry apologize to her, can't confirm that though. She, along with many other drivers, male or female, have had issues with him. Anyway, going back to your situation, it's difficult to impossible to check tranny fluid on a Volvos. You'd have to go up under the truck to check it, and I can't hardly fit under it. What would you gain from tearing up a brand new truck. You've been driving for hellified years, I think you'd know if something was wrong with the transmission fluid. You gotta try and talk to Kenny or Tim first. #### it man, go above Larry's head. Even if you still decide to move on, they need to know that Larry is causing you to quit. Without drivers, Larry has no job so you shouldn't let that slide. I didn't mean for that to be so long man, but that fired me up.

 

I'm he1aded home tomorrow myself. Gotta grab meds and such. I picked up beer in Houston Wed. They gave me 2 days, but I got up to Rolla the next day. My hrs were shaky so they told hang out at the yard. They had to fix my hoof, and to my surprise, they put 4 new drive tires on. The ones I had were in pretty good shape, but won't turn down new tires!!

Professor told you right about the reefer. I took a load of Frick's meat home once and the reefer ran for about 3 days. I filled up at the yard and it's just over 300 miles to Memphis. Once I left thay Sunday morning, it was down to ¼ tank and I topped it off in West Memphis. You could top it off in Franklin amd then drive to the house, you should be fine thay way. Some, not all of those older trailers with the numbers beginning with 24 of 25 can be fuel guzzlers. Some of them are slowly getting phased out though.

 

Ahhh yeah man, for sure!! I'm looking forward to crossing paths at some point. It's always a crap shoot which way I'll go with a load home. When I first got here, I could get a load with the house en route. These days, they just put me on whatever, even if it's out of route. Usually a Texas load. Sometimes Jackson, MS, or Birmingham, or Atlanta. Oh yeah, I think you'll be fine. I used to be so paranoid about it when I first ran reefer, but not it's become 2nd nature. At least it ain't Texas hot in KY, so the reefer won't be screaming trying to keep up
