It wouldn't be a complete week without me whining about something lol, but thank you to whomever dropped a trailer with no mudflap at Coke. I know they're not on here, but telepathically, thank you. I know the yard dog didn't do it because I watched them pull it out of the door.

Going from most likely Texas to Missouri throwing rocks at innocent people's windshields and risking a company's CSA score just to pawn off 20 minutes of time on another driver is an absurd mindset to me. A handful of zip ties will hold one on if someone is that uninclined mechanically.

I like the one in Warrenton, MO the best(exit 193), but most of the time I end up stopping at the location in Colby, KS(exit 53 or 54). That one is probably the easiest to get into if it isn't a whole lot of trucks parked there. Hays, KS(exit 169) and Junction City, KS(exit 298 i think)are ok to shop there, I don't know about sleeping. The one in Warrenton can be difficult to turn into but it can be done as long as 4 wheelers recognize you need space.

Lol that made me chuckle. A power drill and some screws go a long way. The dry van I got had a real bad air leak, but I turned one of the knobs to silence it til I got up to Missouri. We really stimulate the mud flap business here lol

Yeah, good Ole Hershey has every single trailer in the fleet with bent mudflap brackets

The auto inflate systems are a mess sometimes. I've had tons of situations with them at different companies where I just had to shut it off to get it where it was going.

As much as I complain about equipment issues, I will give maintenance credit -- they do always help out with getting things repaired. I've never had someone in maintenance say 'just run it with xyz problem' if it was something serious. I know some carriers would've launched a full fledged investigation if someone told them a mud flap was gone on a trailer, and all that does is add stress to things outside of the driver's control.

Don't quote me on it, but I think there's a truck stop in Junction City in walking distance of some sort of grocery store. Free parking and pretty nice truck stop from what I remember

Found it -- right next to a Walmart at 298, like Bryan said

Yup and there's decent food choices on that exit too! You'll always find parking at that stop

Since it's been a couple years since I last drove, I've managed to forget a couple small things.
Having a small scaling crisis in my head. I'm 98% sure I'm fine the way it sits, because fuel weight burn off and whatnot, but I'm gonna ask to cover my ###.

    Tandems all the way forward
What I can't seem to remember is if I move back 1 pin, would it take any weight off the steers or put more on. It's only 200lbs, and I'm not really concerned, but the not being able to remember part is eating at me lol. I do remember that moving back one pin would take a little weight off the tandems, and add some to the drives. But like I said, I've got a mental block about the steers. Thanks for the help :)
