Hory Shirt! I'm pooped! My first 600+ mile run in forever. (Before starting at Climate last week it had been 3 years since I last drove, and I rarely pulled 500+ mile days before that.)
Left out of Bennet CO early this morning headed to Troy for a Witte drop early tomorrow. Originally planned to stop at the hook in Salina, fuel up, and call it a day, and roll on the rest of the way tonight. Then I remembered there's a Wallyworld at exit 298, so I decided to fuel up and head there for supplies. Thought about calling it a day there, but decided to see how far I could push myself, and headed to the Petro in Oak Grove. Got to Oak Grove, and though "well hell, let's keep pushing!". Made it to the rest area around exit 104ish past the Loves/Pilot. Was gonna try to go further, but didn't have enough clock to make it to the next rest area. 672.4 miles with just a 50 minute break, for me, is outstanding. I know its not that big of a deal for some of you diesel Cowboys who can run that without blinking every day, but for me it is. Really wanted to set myself up for success tomorrow too, because Travis is having me bring an empty back to the yard after dropping tomorrow, and I won't get a load til afterwards. Figured I'd time it to where I would get to the yard when everything opens and not have to waste a bunch of hours waiting.

Speaking of Witte in Troy, my load info routing said "70 to US61". But in the additional directions message, it gives directions to take exit 193 in Warrenton north on 47 to Witte. Do I go all the way to US 61 and head north off 70, or take 47 north to Witte? *confused*

670 in a governed truck is a solid day for anyone. You have to be rolling pretty well to knock out 670+ while having to worry about parking. They'll take note of things like that. My first week or two was slower paced with extra time on both ends, etc. And the loads they book have been on a tighter and tighter schedule since, which is good for miles obviously. The good part here is a lot of loads are drop and hook or they use Craftsmen for early arrivals to get delivered by someone else later. If you keep it rolling and keep breaks to a DOT minimum, you'll be able to keep rolling pretty well. Especially if you're in MO/IL and they can send you a preloaded Hershey or Coke load

Well, in case anyone needs overnight parking at another time in Rolla, if you go past the Coca Cola warehouse and cross over Brewer Dr., there's a wider stretch of road next to a walking trail back in the industrial park. There are tons of no parking signs on the stretch by Love's, but none past the intersection, which makes me think it's allowed. There's a walking trail with no parking lot, so I reckon they have to allow street parking. Only things back here are a couple small warehouses and an abandoned warehouse. The guys at Coca Cola said no one gets bothered even next to the no parking signs, so it should definitely be fine where I'm at if anyone needs a spot at some point.

I'll update in the morning lol. Going to make the mile walk round trip to Love's and get some exercise in.

The areas in yellow are what I *think* are fine since the road is wider and no signs. The red is the stretch with the Love's entrance, Coke, and the no parking signs. Screenshot_20230726_205353_Trucker Path.jpg

As always, it's only a couple people littering or blocking entrances away from receiving no parking signs, so no guarantees in the future.

You did run like hell today! That's your first dose of Climate Miles lol.....670 is one hell of a day. They will get your mile running stamina up for sure lol. ..you could get to Witte either way, but since you're going east, I'd take Route 47 to get there. You'll get to 47 before you get to US 61. After you get off 70 and head north on 47, you'll come to a 4 way stop in which you'll have to turn right to continue on 47. Make sure you swing out a bit to make that turn. To get Witte you'll be turning right off of 47. You'll see a gas station at the corner and that's where you'll turn, then you'll see Witte about ½ mile on the left

You've adjusted quite nicely man! You got the system down. Lol you've got your of Climate Miles as well. I reloaded beer in Arlington, TX at Biagi Bros. Could not even believe i got out of there in an hour. I'm sitting in Lawrence, KS for a delivery in the morning. They'll get there Modelos at the crack of dawn for sure. I know one thing....I've hauled more beer with this company than any company I've ever worked for lol

That's a pretty peaceful drive once you get out of DFW -- we're always 10 hours apart from crossing paths lol. Any beer load loaded in under 3 hours is a miracle

I haven't hauled a beer load here yet, but I've hauled probably a million pounds of Coke in the first 7 weeks. This one was 44,919 and I felt every pound of it on US-63

We ran from Minnesota down to houston. We seen Lotsa Climate trucks south of big cabin. Currently waiting for an escort here at the port in Galveston Tx. Gonna take a load up to kansas. Never been all the way down here before. It's definitely different.
