I forgot to mention, that yea if any new drivers get handed a used team truck, then yea those trucks got idled a lot. There were only 4 teams when the wife an I were there, but we all got new trucks every year. We ran out west a lot and didn't rely on the apu's to keep up in the heat of phoenix Arizona. We also sat more than a traditional team operation should. So idle time was high.

The boss got us a motel room for the weekend. I just used my company credit card. We loaded at Lyons Kansas an then stopped up the road at Walmart to restock the fridge. I called around for a half hour or so to find a motel that I could park at an that had available rooms. Found one at Kearny Mo just north of Kansas City. I never figured it would be so hard to arrange a room.

Ahhh ok that's pretty cool of the boss to set y'all up for the weekend! That beats the sweltering of the hot truck! My APU is keeping up for now lol. I'm in Salina now under a load of candy to Pueblo, that Target there. It don't deliver til 3 pm Monday. I'm not going anywhere til midnight Sunday night. I may was well get cozy when I get there lol.

You sure know exactly what to say. It is better to get to the yard but trying to limp a truck there in that condition will create more expenses, and he surely don't want that. Sometimes you gotta take the L and live fight again.

Oh man, that Target was a good time last time I was there lol. I had an 11am appt and got out of there at 19:30 earlier this year. It is nice that the trailers get dropped and you can bobtail wherever -- the downside is its 20 minutes from town lol. The overnight parking is nice though.

I'm headed to Target in Indianapolis myself. It's a 6am appointment, so I'm fully expecting to be there til dinner time.

Well, the good news is I think it fixed itself. As soon as I got back on the road after the parked regen, I kept an eye on the soot level guage, and sure enough, it started creeping up immediately. In my head I'm thinking "take me off my next load and get this #### thing fixed or come and get it. I'm not running 43.5k back up to MO having to worry about a parked regen every 60-80 miles. Get me a newer truck or adios!". After about an hour I gave up on watching the thing. Then I hit 85 and started smelling it cooking. Checked the guage and I'll be ######, soot levels were going down! And I also noticed my def fluid level was finally going down lol. So maybe there's hope for this pile yet. Maybe she'll get me back to the yard...maybe she won't. We'll find out tomorrow.

Here's a thought to keep in mind for new drivers at climate. If you ever get dispatched to CVS In Indianapolis, make sure you pay heed to the don't be late warning that you'll get from dispatch. It's for real, CVS won't take you late and they will reschedule you for 2 or 3 days later for delivery.

That one is not the nightmare Pueblo is. The last time went there, it was about 3½ to 4 hrs unload time. The one in Wisconsin , I think the town is Oconomowoc, not sure if I spelled that right, lol that one is the best. At least they have a decent lounge with microwaves, vending, and an actual restroom. Of all the Targets, that one I mind the least.

What do we do to get paid detention? Just send a free-form message with time in and time out? Got here at Walmart dc in pageland 15 min before my appt time (15:45) and didn't get put in a door til almost 16:30. Gonna be mad if I don't get outta here early enough to find a spot for the night lol
