Delivering to Nature’s Bakery

Just dropping off near Reno for now, not sure what my next load is.
-
We delivered there last Monday. 1st time we ever went there. There were pretty adamant about not putting us in a door till our appt time.Lumper Humper Thanks this.

Good to know, any idea what kind of load i might pull afterwards?
-
We pulled a load out of the tesla plant last time. If you do go there if ya have a reefer trailer make sure ya tell the broker you have a dry van. Tesla will load ya either way but for some reason the broker don't want us takin reefers in there. And if ya go there gps won't find it. Take 80 east to exit 32. Go south on 439 just past walmart dc. Turn left on sydney drive. Stop at guard. You have to show them your dispatch info on your Qualcomm to get in. Drive down and around round a bout then across front of bldg to end. Go right around back of bldg then about halfway down to stand alone bldg on left. Its the haz mat bldg. Check in there. If we don't go to tesla we usually go load onions in yerington nevada.Lumper Humper Thanks this.

Oh its slowing down big time. Going back to last week. Last Friday, they couldn't find a thing in Fort Smith, AR. They paid me to deadhead home. Once I got home, they didnt find anything for me to do til late Monday. That load didn't pick til Tuesday morning. It went to Colorado, but where I had to go (Weston), you might as well have said it was in the wilderness. Not a typical Climate load. One of my buddies who runs for another company is saying rates have dipped majorly on the spot market. When I was in the lounge earlier, a driver was getting service on his truck. He had a dry van. He came out of Texas with a load of baled recycled plastic, basically garbage. When a company has to haul garbage, it's an indicator of the climate (no pun intended) of the freight in that area. Lumper, you're probably one of the few who will make big miles this week lolLumper Humper Thanks this.

I've been driving over 20 yrs an it may sound silly but i don't know what it is that people are referring to when they reference the spot market. Yea that nature's bakery thing in sparks nevada was something different. That and it's a broker load out of hazelwood mo. Climate seems to haul a lot of broker loads.Lumper Humper Thanks this.
