Oh hell yeah, you're in tremendous shape to get reloaded. There are tines you come out of Greenville and you'll be knocking in the door of 80k. Going the other direction, I was one of those drivers that didn't expect that hill the very first time I went down it ....talk about oops. I didn't smoke the breaks but it's difficult to find the right speed on that hill if you're inexperienced and loaded heavy

I almost did that going down CO-160 with that tater load. I underestimated how long it would feel loaded and thought 60 would be a fine speed. Didn't cook them, but didn't glide down using only the Jake like I hoped.

Ended up getting turned around today. Headed to Craftsmen to drop this and pick up a pre loaded trailer headed to Concord, NC. I'm guessing that means right back towards here out of NC Friday. Time to start a Playlist that's nothing but Rocky Top on repeat.

Delivered this am at Lanter or something like that, then loaded out of Danone a little bit ago. Scaling back at the Loves I left this morning lol. Load goes to Olney, but they told me to get it to St Louie asap, so I'll be up there sometime tomorrow. Told me they don't know yet where I'm dropping. Kinda ticked me off, but it's whatever. As long as they don't gripe at me about when I get it there lol

Ahhh ok that's a good delivery there. Man, count your blessings if you don't have to go to Olney. That is one of the slower Walmarts there. I always hope that they take it off me when I get dispatched to go there

Well, this dropped trailer has a slow leaking wheel seal. No idea about hub oil level since it's clouded over to the point its unreadable. Don't have much choice but to run it. Its a tiny leak, so itll be fine. Just rhe principal. 20230830_162711.jpg

Move B**** by Ludacris or Highway to Hell seem to be the most fitting for I-35

I take 25 to 26 all the time. Once you get out of Greenville it's 4 lane. 26 is one big construction project though.

That 26 construction is rough. Seems like it never ends. It is fun watching people panic when they realize the lane shifts are sharp and 35 or so mph for trucks lol.

25 wasn't bad at all. It was just getting from basically Mauldin to west of Greenville on 276(?) that seemed like it never ended

This McLane delivery in Temple was weird. It wasn't a typical McLane facility, like an annex or something. They had called to tell me that my load was refused, but I walked to the back of the trailer after getting the bills. There was just enough crack through dock padding in which I could still see the dock plate wasn't retracted, and they were still taking product off. The tried to tell me that the load shifted. I went back in the truck thinking they were just going to rearrange it so I could get somewhere to get it restacked or something. Honestly, if it had shifted, I would have gone back there and restacked all the pallets because trying to find out where to take or if a lumper is going to handle that is a pain in the arse and I find it easier to just restack, get off and keep it moving. So I'm sitting in the truck looking at the gauge, and it goes to 0 weight. I walk back there, the plate is retracted and the sliding door is closed. I pull forward, I'm totally empty. Hmmmm.. I went back and asked the lady if she was sure she had the right trailer. She ended up having to sign as received and subject to count. She went to investigate, and the unloaded weren't even trying to work. They were trying to take a shortcut, say the load shifted to reduce having to unload another truck. I thought I was bizarre that she said the load shifted, because this load was heavy enough(35k) that if it shifted, you could've felt it. I felt nothing the whole way down. If it did shift, then it probably was already messed up before I even got the load. Crazy situation there. Now I'm sitting in Arlington reloading fish for Schnucks in Kinloch. That should complete a very pedestrian week of running loads lol
