That Walgreens in Houston is even slower lol. I think you'll get at least 5 hrs in the dock. I can't remember if you've been there yet, but if ya haven't, be careful backing. It's a doable back, but not super spacious and will be challenging if you have go in between 2 trucks. Every time I have a delivery there, I park at the Coke facility on Deer Park Trail that we deliver to. It's about 5 miles or so away. They never bother me there so I just borrow the staging lot lol.

That's fine with me. On night time deliveries, I like to rack up the detention pay lol. The Walgreens in Windsor got me out in an hour and a half and only 30 minutes after appointment today. They put subject to count on the stamp on the bills, so maybe they've changed their piece by piece policy, or at least on Hershey loads. Got loaded in Elkhorn in 30 minutes, dropped at Midwest and picked up the reload, and now at the truck stop 60 or so miles down 67. No idea how to describe it other than the middle of nowhere on the east side of the highway. I'm sure you've stopped here before. Pretty lucky and efficient day today with warehouses -- 550 miles, 2 pickups, 2 drops all in 13 hours.

Where do they have you headed?

I think I know which truck stop you're at too. Pretty big lot if it's the one I'm thinking of. I just unloaded Coke in Fort Smith, AR. I wish they had sent me this earlier in the day because I could've ran it straight through. I would've skipped getting a 34 if that happened because I would've had good hours coming back all week. I'm waiting on the next assignment. I'm off to a slow start this week so maybe I'll finish strong.

I think it was about 20-30 minutes if I remember correctly.

Yeah, those 3-400 mile loads on Mondays are a little bit of a rough way to start the week. Far enough that it's usually a return load to STL and close enough that it's usually a bit of time wasted on the day.

Guessing you had some kind of drop and hook yesterday back in Climate territory lol?

I'm sitting 50 miles away until my delivery tonight in Houston. Hoping it'll be an Orange rubber load tomorrow morning. Would allow me to deadhead out of Houston for the night and then have good, easy miles tomorrow, but we'll see. Hoping that the fact I'll be getting back to STL area on a Friday means that I'll get a 'money load' going out to CO for the weekend. Will be a bit of a short paid week this week, but hoping I'll be able to roll over 1000 or so miles to next week to even it out. If I was a betting man, I'd guess it'll be an Atlanta load they let me take through the house unrequested or a Sunday evening/Monday morning TX load.

The drive going into unload area in 1st pic. 2nd pic is me delivering feed for some wyoming cattle that'll be arriving at this ranch in 3 weeks for the winter. Was a really Scenic nice run. Never been that far west on 20 in Nebraska and wyoming. Plans fell through for going to Washington so I reloaded in South Dakota and I'm headed to Wisconsin.

20 is a nice little run. Nebraska is surprisingly pretty once you get off of 80, even in the eastern half. Lots of great mom and pop truck stops and cafes with gravel lots along the way too. We used to run Bomgar loads across 20 all the time and I loved it. Little enough traffic to let faster trucks pass on the 2 lane stretches as well

Ahh ok, they probably will put you on that rubber load. I love those types of loads. 800 miles by the next day, 24 hr receiver. I delivered in downtown STL yesterday with a load of empty glass bottles. I left Fort Smith and deadheaded to Sapulpa, OK to reload. I dropped and hooked at Craftsmen with a load of cheese. I'm sitting in Fort Wayne, IN about to back into a dock to unload

That is a gorgeous view my brother. Wyoming has some really good scenery. I wish I traveled there more often. That run to Washington would've been a hell of a treat there. That's another gorgeous spot.
