What’s up fellas? Sorry I’ve been quiet lately. I’m almost to California. Picked up in western Alabama and I deliver tomorrow. Have to wait for a reload for Monday so I’ll get a 34 to head back out.

Had a level valve start leaking on me where the ride height attaches. Called Larry, got told to take it by the shop, I wrote it up on one of the issue report papers, and it never got touched. It always throws me for a loop here -- I thought for sure a worn out leveling valve would be replaced. Luckily, it leaks worse when empty and gets way less severe when loaded, so not the end of the world. Hopefully I'll just reload out of Sauer again in Greenville.

Can't call it man. Nor can I complain. I'm sitting in Salina, after taking a little walk. It's gonna 35° tonight. That means I won't be running the APU lol. I gotta drop in Johnstown, CO Monday morning. Nice start to the week. Soak in that California sunshine. That's a great place to reset. May even catch a taco truck out there lol

3rd time's the charm brother lol

Dang man. Maybe they need to see it once emptied out. I rolled in there like that once with a dry van, looking like the #### thing was on hydraulics lmao. They knew immediately lol. It's a pain in the ### to deal with though.

Came up shooting no dice. No one available to unload me till Monday morning. Air leveling valve broke under cab. So I am at Love's to get my oil changed. They're gonna see if one of the two valves they have in stock will work an if not shut the air off to the valve till I can get to a mack / volvo shop. Meanwhile i'll try to stay occupied while collecting layover pay for the weekend. Should I cry now or later? Lol an lmao!!

Heck yeah, this is the best time of year. Low 70's during the day and the perfect sleeping temp of 40-50's most places. I love the cold, but only down til around 10 degrees lol. The Wyoming sugar loads aren't gonna be fun come January.

I was supposed to be reloading here in Spartanburg with a load headed to Affton today at 13:00. After 45 minutes of being questioned if I was at the right place, it turns out the load was scheduled to pick up tomorrow and something was communicated wrong between the shipper and broker. It had spare time for delivery, so honestly works out a little better for me -- get the same miles in the same time and layover added on the check. Selfishly hoping delivery gets pushed back enough that I can drop it in STL and keep it rolling.

It was a nice reminder of the downsides of spot market work. Glad it's only an occasional thing here at Climate. I don't miss the days of getting the 'Waiting on rate con' and 'Load got cancelled' texts regularly.
