Anyone ever done the Baily Houston local 2 stop run? Not sure what to think about this one. Is this one of those "dispatch is pissed at you" loads or something?

No it's just a load that needs covered bud. They gotta take care of their customers even if it isn't always the best scenario for the driver. Proper customer care keeps the doors open but sometimes comes at a sacrifice.bryan21384 Thanks this.

I checked in at orangeburg sc at 7 AM this morning. It's now 6:20 PM. Been on the clock at 25 an hour since 9 AM. Still not unloaded yet. Good money for sitting around doin nothing but frustrating cuz I'd rather be rolling.

I might be getting a truck dog.
If they still have him when I can get through their on a run next week then I want him. Working with a breeder. It's 300 to have him transported to my home but figure I'll save that by picking him up myself. Isn't he adorable!!Thrasher28, wulfman75, bryan21384 and 3 others Thank this. -
Those dog food plants think nothing of paying detention. Lemme know where you headed if you ever get empty I know a few places around there that’ll wash out a hopper that aren’t on truckers path. Good luck buddy!wulfman75 and bryan21384 Thank this.

I am empty an gotta run over by macon tomorrow to reload. Will need a washout. Nearest i could find is augusta which is sorta on the way.bryan21384, mdmgolfin, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this.

The Quala in Augusta won’t touch a hopper and the other one in Augusta charges an arm and a leg and does not take EFS its cash only. Truck and Trailer of Macon will wash you out and so will Truck Wash of Macon on Broadway. I would always open my hoppers and open my tarps and blow that stuff out and then by the time you get there all they’ll hafta do is give you a quick rinse. I’ve used both, and honestly I don’t remember which one I preferred. I think it’s 6 one 1/2 a dozen another.

As a matter of fact, I did it recently. It's not bad at all. You'll get local and mileage pay. It's really easy. Consider it an add on to the load you took to Houston. There was a little truck stop not far from the 3rd stop that had incredible tacos, lol. It'll all work out, especially if you're reloading rubber in Orange, because you'll get that off the next day.mdmgolfin Thanks this.

He is very adorable my friend! He will make a great co-driver for ya lololmdmgolfin Thanks this.

Awww dang, you caught a tough break there. Maybe they'll load you first thing and you can get on the ball. I'm sitting at the Pilot in Percival, IA, doing the usual thievery of reserved parking spaces lol. Turned about 652 miles today. I'm dropping off at Aviator over in Hazelwood. I'm going to try to get that off tomorrow, though I'll be cutting it close. If I gotta deliver Wed I won't be upset with that. Altogether it's a 1000 plus mile run, it's gratifying to run a big mile run and deliver it next day
