Where's everyone headed on this chilly Monday? I had an uneventful day getting back to Climate territory. Just a simple dry load from Louisville that delivers in Edwardsville tomorrow at 05:30. Excited that it's down to the 20's tonight. It sucks in the morning, but it sure is cozy while sleeping.

I'm on a short haul that picked up in Lenexa. Coke products. I'm headed to Rolla for the morning. It's been a weird day. Really weird couple of days. I waited at Craftsmen til like 10 thirty to get trailer 3829, for New Century. Got there at 3 ish this morning. Unload, wake to up to load information for the day. Robert sent a message for me to call him. He asked me to switch from 3829 to 1224. 1224 had a busted air bag so he wanted me to get it fixed and use that to load. Ok no problem...or was it? As soon as I pulled my curtains, I look to the left and see 1224. My issue is that there was a driver hooked to that trailer last night. I couldn't understand why they let that driver drop his trailer, and let him go on his way, but I had to go get it repaired, which I don't think happened. It pissed me off because I'm sure he had that trailer all weekend, but that gets dropped in my lap. Most things I just take in stride, and let it ride. I understand that drivers leave trailers with issues at customers all the time. I'll take those on the chin. This right here was blatant as hell. I felt disrespected as ####. I had a hard time shaking this one off for much of the day. After a couple of hours, they determine I gotta bad slack. I get "fixed" and I go to load. Picking up at that coke after hours is a nightmare. I must've burnt 45 minutes just to get someone to check me in because the system they had didn't work. Then after a couple more hrs in the dock, it must've taken about 45 min to get the bills..all this for a 200 mile run. The funny thing is, I had ½ a mind to limp it to Union since I was going to Rolla. I felt like I could have done it too, so I was mad at myself for not using better judgment. I guess that's what happens when you get pissed off lol

Yeah, not sure how that happened. My only thinking is they needed a dry van brought back towards eastern MO and someone was picking up a refrigerated load in the morning. Even if that was the case, it's very coincidental the blown airbag was found at his delivery lol. Agreed with you, it's a little more understandable at Midwest or something. Makes more sense for a driver on a 1000 mile run to knock it out rather than the driver just taking an empty from Craftsmen to Midwest.

At the bare minimum, people should be expected to get major defects fixed if it happens in their possession. Bald spots and minor air leaks are one thing, but passing on an ASAP repair is just saying 'I think getting this repaired would suck, but since I don't have to look the next driver in the eye, I can just pawn it off on them because their peace of mind and time is less important'.

Who knows though, maybe someone was running behind on a Moberly Walmart load and he had to go rescue it from Oak Grove or something.

Good morning Climateers and Climate Alumni lol. What's good in the world. I'm parked on the entrance ramp next to the "No Parking" sign on the 245 going east bound on 40 in Tennessee lol. I'm about to roll the rest of the way to Garner, NC with a load from STL. Had to live load yesterday at Dr. Pepper Snapple. Man I came across the rudest lady. She talked to me so crazy all because of how the the trucks were trying maneuver in a fairly tight spot. She was a security lady and when she started running her mouth, I just looked at her. If looks could kill, she'd a been a dead #####. I got parked to check in, then she tried to be friendly with me. Unfortunately it's a against my rules of humanity to talk to rude people. Lol. My patience is being tested this week for some reason. Maybe it's the Halloween week. At least the shipper wasn't bad and they loaded this trailer perfectly. Makes for a smooth ride. How y'all doing?
