It’s always like that for me too when I head home and back out miles are normally short for the week but that layover pay...both y’all got it or just one of y’all and did they add in detention to that? Plus $50 is a little low

 

I'm not sure exactly what they're gonna give us on it. I know layover is 50 a day. But personally since it cost us each at least one full shift i think it would only be fair to pay us a minimum of 11 hrs apiece hourly pay but that's probably wishful thinking. An yea 50 a day isn't enough for layover in my opinion. I don't think our hourly rate of 12.50 for detention is high enough either. Neither one is what you would make if you were driving down the road at your per mile rate. And when it comes to picking up at robinson they're always sending us as in my wife and i there when they don't have confirmation that the loads are even ready. Plus I've been told at robinson that they don't load past 10 at night before. And normally any accessory pay and reimbursements all go on my pay settlement. My wife gets just her mileage pay. It probably works different at companies that are more team oriented.

 

I believe we have 4 teams at Climate. I've met 2 others at least besides us. But I've always heard there are 4. I've asked robert before how many we have and all he'll ever say is we have a few. Like he's gonna let some big corporate secret out of the bag or something.

 

Hey the last time you went to new britain ct were you able to get unloaded early? We gotta deliver there 11AM Monday.

 

Ok i was just trying to make a plan for when i wanna check in Monday morning. Thanks for the info. Was 84 east closed anywhere on your trip out? My garmin is telling me the road is closed ahead. It's wanting me to detour.

 

It's wanting me to get on 17 in new york an somehow get back on 84. I stayed on 84. It's showing on the screen that somewhere along this stretch that 84 is closed. I didn't see any signage to that effect so i stayed on 84. I did see a sign a ways back that there will be road work starting Monday but that's all it said.
