@bryan21384 you know any good street parking spots for Coke in Pueblo, CO? I know there's a place there I delivered candy once that everyone parks on the street for near that area. I just can't remember the name of it or the road off the top of my head. And I know about that dirt lot next to target, but not sure how busy it usually gets there. Only time I've parked there was mid day waiting on an appointment. Will be in Pueblo around 16:00. Surprisingly, the highest is a comfy 52 and a low in the mid 20's there today

Just a heads up in case anyone stumbles upon this in time, I-70WB closed at Goodland, KS. I-70EB closed between Burlington and Kanorado. Kansas' website says winter conditions in CO. CO'S site says a wreck. No idea if it was a blowover, ice, or what happened -- wind was gusting pretty well with a sustained 25mph or so winds, but whatever must've been pretty bad to shut down both directions.

Hopefully it'll be cleared out pretty quick. The couple of truck stops in Goodland are packed. If it lasts more than a couple hours, I'll just ask dispatch for permission to run 27 down to 40 and up to 287 for fuel in Limon or just 96/71 all the way to Pueblo.

Update: Just saw a wrecker on the traffic cam passing Goodland so hopefully it'll be open in an hour or two. (13:14 MST)

Oh yeah that's a little ways up from the Coke facility. The name of that street is Fairchild. You can park on any of those streets over there and they won't bother you. That Target DC lot has way more space than you know. It's plenty of room on down from where the other trucks park. It's 56 down here in Fort Worth. It feels like summer vacation lol

Ended up finding Topper's. Only a couple miles away. I got permission from Robert to run down 27 to US40 and up 287 and made it to Limon while the road was still closed, so I guess it was the right call.

56 is as good as it gets. Perfect sleeping weather, even with no APU. You should have a pretty good reload tomorrow if you end up with the container load heading to New Century. I always like getting sent on the Sauer loops. New Century to SC and back is an easy way to knock down 1600 or so miles.

I haven't been to Texas since October. Not sure if it's luck of the draw or if Robert and Travis just sort of divied up lanes and accounts to certain drivers to keep things simple. I prefer running east/west, so no complaints from me. I just remember running Texas almost weekly for months and then the runs stopped randomly. Now it seems like I'm either going to Colorado or the Carolinas every weekend.

I just so happen to be at Sauer in New Century now. I just delivered here tonight and am picking up a load here to Laredo in the morning.

I had no idea they ran down to Laredo here. 35 is a pain, but the couple hours from SA to Laredo is as good as it gets. Great food down there too

It's been a long time since I delivered anything to Laredo. 2013 with Prime.

This is my 2nd trip this week to Texas. I'm going to the house probably sometime Saturday. I'm picking up a Coke load in Dallas, at that syrup plant. I'm parked at the warehouse across the street. I have this tendency to borrow other warehouses for 10 hr breaks. On occasion I get ran off lol. They'll probably use another Texas load to get me home. One can get pigeon holed into a territory for a while. That's fine as long as the miles and money are good. I had an 8 pm delivery at McLane in Fort Worth and they took me 3 hrs early. Normally they take 3 hrs late. Lol. I was finished at 8:40. I won't hold my breath for that to happen the next time I come down here.

Laredo?!?!?!?! Now it's been a couple of years since I've gone down there. Both times, it was to pick up a back haul. Once I had taken Coke to Austin and then got an Edwardsville backhaul and another time for Anheuser Busch in STL. It used to be that a load to San Antonio resulted in Laredo pickups, but you're going to deliver so that means TACOS!!!! LOLOLOLLL

I've always been under the belief you can park pretty much anywhere lol. You just have to act like you fit in. There's so little parking in Dallas, that parking like that can be the difference in an hour of drive time if you get caught in some bad traffic. Well worth the 'risk'.

And you're not kidding about the food. You know they're going to be good when they have to get a younger employee to take your order since they almost exclusively speak Spanish.

Headed to Monte Vista for taters going to the Moberly Walmart. CO-160 looks to be clear based on the traffic cameras, so should be an easy 1000+ miles for the weekend. Sadly, I'll probably have to miss the Lamar and CJ showdown tomorrow, but Bills and Chiefs should be a good one to watch on Sunday evening.
