Oh ok...I checked on Google maps too and I didn't see any closures on 84 except for an exit ramp in Connecticut somewhere. Where ya camping out at?

I reserved a spot for us at the ta at exit 28 in ct. We'll be there in a couple hours. Figured I'd get up tomorrow an try an get a free spot rather than paying for a 2nd night.
-
Definitely a good idea. I bought a spot in Linglestown the other night. First time ever that I had to buy a parking spot. Luckily I had enough points to do it
-
I just pay. I'm saving my points up for something. Climate used to reimburse for it but they stopped that so i assume some drivers musta started abusing it an trying it all the time.
-
As a matter of fact that's exactly what happened. In orientation, they were talking about one driver who would not park in the free spots when he went home. He was burning them up. Each time he went home for 2 or 3 days, he would just pay for the whole time he was at home, and most places on the weekend you can get free parking. In the northeast probably not so much. Then other drivers wouldn't even try to find free spaces before relying on the paid spots. I'm in Dalton, GA now getting a 34 and man, you can pick any spot you want here!!!

Yea we've used the paid parking before but we've always only used it as a last resort. Or like coming here i knew by the time we got here the free parking would be full so i reserved ahead. We have to pay when we're at home too. I never tried to charge the company for that cuz i figure that's on me to find somewhere to park on our hometime. We had free options up till 6 months ago then the truck stop quit allowing unattended parking. So we park by McDonald's at home and they charge 10 a night.

Right now I park on th he street where our apartment complex is. It's a neighborhood street but fortunately Memphis is trucker friendly in many spots. Down the line we will move to a different part of town, and I hope I can still be spoiled with easy parking lol

Hey just curious. What routing do you take from new britain to palmyra? I always just run back across 84 to 87 down to 287 to 78 to 81 then drop south at linglestown to hershey park drive. Garmin always wants us to run down and around the top of new york city and across. I certainly am not about to go that way. Only way i go to new york City is when they're paying me the extra 200 or so to do it for a delivery.

The last time I went there, I took 84 all the way back to Scranton then I dropped down on 81. Then i got off on exit 80 (I think) to get in the back way..... it was 291 miles I believe..
