Just got back to Pontoon Beach to kill time until I deliver at Aldi - O'Fallon at 0200. Delivered in Wilkes-Barre yesterday and reloaded out of Bethlehem. Only 8000 pounds made PA a breeze and 250 or so more miles compared to Palmyra round trips. Picking up from Midwest to route through the terminal on the way to Temple, TX. Normally would've sounded terrible, but haven't been to Texas since October, so I'm kind of excited. Supposed to be high 60's and low 70's there over the next couple of days.

What are your thoughts on Whataburger?bryan21384 Thanks this.
-
I thought it was good, but nothing out of this world. I'd put it slightly above the huge chains like Wendy's, BK, etc.. Whataburger doesn't even compare to the masterpiece of Culver's though, in my opinion.bryan21384, motocross25 and Lumper Humper Thank this.

I've been running some short runs this week. I picked Sunday for Fulton, MO Dollar General. Then live loaded at Coke to drop in Owensboro. KY yesterday morning. Deadheaded to Robinson to get to Edwardsville, now I've got candy for Pueblo tomorrow morning. The backhaul should make it a decent week if planned right. 8000 across PA?! Man I know that was a breeze. Where ya dropping in Temple? McLane?dwells40 and Lumper Humper Thank this.

The food is good, but a little overpriced in my view. I'd take some of the other burger joints over them. I do like the shakes though. Five Guys is my go to for a really good burgerLumper Humper Thanks this.

It’s worth mentioning CODOT had their high profile/lightweight vehicle advisory up due to winds. I unloaded in Colorado Springs, came thru Pueblo and am parked in Antonito tonight waiting to reload. The wind was whipping pretty good, but I didn’t have any problems, I’m also a lot shorter than you are tho with my flat top and end dump. If you’re comin to get taters LaVeta pass was kinda icy and at the very top there were cars spun out and they were alternating traffic getting by it. No chain laws were up and I didn’t hafta flip my chains on so it wasn’t a big deal. They’re callin for more snow tonight and high winds so once I get on the other side tomorrow I can try to give you a report if I can catch you in time. I’ll be on channel 19 if you see me holler if you’re comin this way!bryan21384, Lumper Humper and dwells40 Thank this.

Just when I think I have it figured out as to my next reload, they swerve me. I don't even have to go to Monte Vista this time. I'm being deadheaded to Clovis, NM for a cheese load. It's scheduled for pickup tomorrow so it makes the long deadhead pressure lol. I do appreciate the heads-up though. I stopped in Walsenburg for lunch and the wind is still very gusty. It's manageable though. How'd you make it out?motocross25 and Thrasher28 Thank this.

I came back up to CO today for Swire in Johnstown. I was lead to believe they would receive me early. Arrived at 1545 to be told to come back in the morning. My appointment is 0600 tomorrow, I was just hoping to be empty tonight.

I’ve been burned by those guys too lol. Coke never took me early in CO.Thrasher28 and Peace_Maker Thank this.

At least that Petro up the road is pretty nice. It's usually a less than an hour unload there, so you'll be rolling pretty early tomorrow. And then a quick reload out of Wray or Platteville most likely.Peace_Maker Thanks this.
