Deer Trail Dr is the address. Last two times I came down here, I was delivering to the smaller facility where you park on the street. Reviews showed parking was available, but wasn't sure I wanted to risk it there not being open spots available when I got there lol, so I'm at the Flying J in New Caney. It'll take two days to get back from Houston, so it'll be alright either way.
Reviews for this location looked a little iffy, but seems like the worst reviews were evening appointments. Hoping 0600 means I'll get a dock right away and out in a couple hours.

You know exactly what to say. It was another warehouse that I was parked at, and I saw some Weis trailers there, so I assumed it was part of their property too. I went to park on the shoulder facing west so I would've had to go turn around some where. When I went to find a place to turn around, I saw that exact tow company on the other side of that warehouse.

I like the Deer Trail location. I like em both, but Deer Trail has a massive lot, but not a tremendous amount of spaces unfortunately. I've usually been lucky to get in one of those spots. I park there when I have to go to that Walgreens up the highway lol. Last time I went there, I had a 10 pm appt, and it was pretty smooth, maybe an hour tops. Each time I've gone there it's been easy. I got Coke for Starkville, MS. First time I've been to this location. They said overnight parking was available. There's 5 other trucks already here. I see where other trucks have pulled off in the shoulder, and these sink holes are massive. I kept it on the pavement. I may have to wale up earlier than I'd like in order to move.

Hail State! My pawps went to MSU. And yeah, the directions and online reviews are sometimes a little misleading lol. When I think overnight parking, I think onsite parking and not DIY parking nearby. Either way, it's better than none at all though. I had no idea Wright City shipped to MS.
I ended up getting empty in 30 minutes and reloaded out of La Porte at Lubrizol. Was back to the peaceful stretch of 59 by 10:30 this morning, so pretty good day. Delivers Monday in Madison, so I'm sure I'll be dropping it in the morning. Had a pretty rough hail storm in Little Rock. Got a little worried I mightve ended up finding the yellow brick road. Gets a little eerie in those parts when it goes from sunny to super dark skies in a matter of minutesFriend, bryan21384, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
You aren't lying about storms coming out of no where. That is downright creepy, especially coming up 67 because it's so flat through Arkansas and you can see everything form.
The sky opened up out if no where here too.
That Starkville, MS Coke ain't much fun lol. They do allow overnight parking at least. 30 minutes before appt, and it took them 2 hrs from check in to take the product off. That's been the slowest one I've been to yet of all Cole places. I drove through town to get towards Covington where the reload is. I'm loading up and headed home with it. I'll get back out Sunday and drop this in Union then. Then it will be another round of Climate Miles. I will say, Starkville is so nice! I drive right by MSU and saw the campus and athletic facilities. Starkville and Oxford certainly don't look like the rest of Mississippi lolmotocross25 Thanks this. -
Howdy Climateers!!!! I'm checking in midweek lol, I'm sitting in London, OH at that new Sheetz truck stop. This is a good stop here. Legit competition to Pilot and TA. I've seen them in PA but never got a chance to stop. Always got hooked on Rutters lol. I'm headed back with a load of rubber out of New Jersey and as usual I got myself twisted up in Jersey. That can be a confusing place. I had dropped a load off in Union, then took Coke to Breinigsville,PA. I'll go to that one anyway. 24hrs and quick unloading? Winner in my book. How's everyone doing out there?
motocross25, Peace_Maker and Thrasher28 Thank this. -
I love that Sheetz. They always have parking surprisingly late into the night and plenty of creative parking room that won't hinder anyone too. Seems like any time before 22:00 has a spot there. Sheetz has some great food for what it is. It's not Kwik Trip quality, but where else are you getting mozzarella sticks on a cheeseburger from a gas station lol?
I didn't know we went to New Jersey here -- I thought Allentown was the closest we got. Glad you covered that NJ pickup for the rest of us
I went to Jefferson, GA for my weekend load, had a FCFS pickup from Anderson, SC that delivered FCFS in St Louis, so that was a quick 730 mile pick and drop. Picked up a Coke load going to Little Rock yesterday, delivered it this morning, and now hanging out in Pine Bluff, AR. Pickup window is 16:00-20:00 and broker said the earliest I'd probably get worked in is 14:00. It delivers tomorrow morning in High Ridge, MO. This is 2 weeks straight of only pulling dry vans. The customer base has been a little more pleasant than the reefer life lol.
I'm going home this weekend, so I'm guessing I'll be reloading milk from Pacific to deliver in Bowling Green on Monday like usual. Maybe something to Georgia, idk.
I haven't heard from dispatch at all besides automated load info in a month, which is a good sign that the ship has been sailing smoothly. Happy with 2024 so farmotocross25, bryan21384 and Peace_Maker Thank this. -
I'm sitting at the Loves by Craftsman. I just finished a load to Ogden and up north of Idaho Springs to St Louis at the United Fruit and Produce. I'm waiting on a load to be dropped at Craftsman delivering to Kinloch. Then, I'll be headed to Little Rock with Coke. I'm about out of my 70 until Saturday.bryan21384 Thanks this.

2024 has been really good early so far. Normally January is slow, then mid to late February it picks up and its full steam ahead the rest of the year. We go to NJ every once in a while. I've gone a few times with Fricks Meats, and taken milk to that Costco over in Monroe Township. I just knew I was going to Palmyra lol....it turned out to be better miles going into NJ but that state with the no left turns will make you work hard as hell. That home time will be a well earned break too. I had the tacos and a bucket of curly fries with cheese sauce. Their menu there will give Speedway a little competition, and I'm talking about the locations with the cafes.
Nice you got some really good miles! I like the Ogden runs. Those are treats for real. Was 80 a breeze coming back across Wyoming?Peace_Maker Thanks this. -
Not at all! I ended up driving through blizzard conditions from Laramie to Cheyenne. It took me over an hour and a half to get between the two. Plus, I don't even want to talk about that "w" word. It's been dogging me for 5 days now!bryan21384, Thrasher28 and Lumper Humper Thank this.
