Just pallets of packaged, shelf ready sugar from Western Sugar. Only 17 pallets and they're all uniform, of course, so should be a quick in and out in the morning. I looked up the address and it pulled up a news article from October talking about the construction starting, so it must be brand, brand new

Ahhh ok, you went to Gering. The loader thought someone in Fort Morgan had the same trailer I brought in yesterday. We all know how picky they can be about clean trailers. The fella in the shipping office made me chuckle. He said the first day on the job, a driver came to load. The driver gets ready to check in, but prior to that, he got on top of the trailer to spread a towel over the top where there was a leak. The fella in the shipper office comes out there, and says, "We saw you spread that towel over the top.....we aren't loading you." Lol these folks will do everything possible except get adequate equipment to operate out here. They turned away 3 trucks today because of messed up trailers.

That's some dedication right there lol. I guess it would depend on if the leak in the roof happened a day ago or a month ago for rather that's commendable/funny or shameful. When I drove for a company that did ice cream/meat loads, it was crazy the disasters people would bring in or the people that would try to load a negative temp load in Bakersfield on a 100 degree day and hadn't even began pre-cooling, 5 minutes before their appointment.

A tube of silicone or caulk and a small piece of sheet metal isn't that expensive to patch a leak or hole for a few days lol.

That Sam's DC was as good as hoped. Got unloaded with a spotless trailer in 25 minutes. Unloaded so quick that I got nervous when the buzzer went off thinking they were rejecting the whole load or something crazy. The drivers there were in a crazy hurry for some reason though. almost wrecks from people trying to dart around people actively backing and people doing 30mph through the facility. Was a little bizarre considering the arrival time is marked by the security shack and anything after is irrelevant.

That makes for a good Sam's Club. I hope they keep that same energy. Loveland ate up about an hour and a half yesterday. Those drivers that stay in a hurry are ridiculous. I find it entertaining to watch multiple trucks try to dock in a small spot. I oftentimes sit back and watch the cluttery lol. I got to Topeka yesterday. I know this load is going to Craftsmen, it'll be a matter of what's the next move. I know one thing....this load of sugar feels heavier than 42k lol

Sorta. It's on the same road as Unilever if you've been there before. You just take that first right off the main drive and follow it all the way down. Doesn't look like a typical Walmart/Sam's facility

I wonder what happened to Rob, the safety manager. Not going to speculate too much since its not my business, but it seemed rather unplanned lol. He was always super friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about everything, so will be a little sad to see him gone along with Travis.

All I know is having to call Mr. Keene or Mr. Laske for an after hours safety issue would be rather intimidating and will be avoiding that at all costs. They're very nice, but that's pretty far up the chain of command to be calling at 1am saying something went wrong :D

Seems like the dispatchers are covering all drivers equally now or I got swapped 'fleets'. Not sure which, but my loads have been coming from Rich and Justin this week.

Changes all around for Climate over the last few months -- I guess we'll see if it's a positive or negative overall once things settle back down.

Yep. It came across our Qualcomm first thing Friday morning. They said he "decided to resign" and to delete his number right away. I certainly enjoyed shooting the bull with him. Sucks to see him go. I only talked to Travis a couple of times, but he seemed like a cool guy too.

I've been getting loads from Rich mostly. So far, my miles have been slightly higher since Travis left, and I got good miles under him. I'm like you though, I will not be calling any of them til daylight hours. They don't intimidate me, but they're the type of folks, once their off of work they aren't trying to think about work. Robin is taking over Rob's spot and she's good to deal with.
