I'll be spending my weekend getting up to Rochester on Monday and then basically Brooklyn on Tuesday from Bailey. This'll be a fun ride!

Dang man, you gotta go into the city? That should be some extra cash shouldn't it? Brooklyn ain't too bad though. As long as you never have to deliver in Manhattan you should be able to keep grays out of your hair.

I was supposed to be picking beer from Fort Collins to head back today. They actually scheduled me that load initially after I got empty in Denver yesterday. I tried to load it early and head back, but they wouldn't do it so I got sent to Monte Vista for taters to deliver in Moberly. Then picking up milk for Atlanta Monday morning. They didn't put a fuel stop in the load info. What made it so funny is that they started the sentence, but didn't finish it lol

It's a cool experience, at least. Hopefully they got you a before 6am delivery in the city so you can get in at 3am instead of rush hour. I remember getting a water bottle thrown at me once leaving the toll booths going in from Newark on my way to Long Island. Real pissy bunch of people there. They make Atlanta and Los Angeles drivers look like saints lol

They are some grumpy folks out there man. They act like truckers are residents there. I got cursed out, blown at, flipped off once in Brooklyn, all because I was trying to switch lanes to get to a shipper lol. All.i could do was chuckle

I'd say getting an extra 300+ miles and not delivering to Summit is a pretty big win lol. That beer shipper in Fort Collins is pretty decent though, so I'm surprised they didn't work you in. Maybe they just didn't have the product ready

I'll be headed the opposite direction as you. Picked up at the Coke packaging plant in Enka, NC last night. About to leave Marion, IL and head to Warrenton to deliver now. Then picking up at Wright City to deliver in Johnstown on Monday morning at 04:00.

Was checking my email earlier and realized I hit my 1 year mark here when they sent the 401k enrollment last week. Pretty decent first year. Based on my mental math, I think it's been over 130k miles in the first year, so I'll consider it a win. 95k on this truck since late October, so whatever I ran from June til October before that as well. Considering this market and Climate paying a pretty fair cpm, I'm pleased.

When a bad week is 2300+ miles, that's a pretty good sign. Never been late for hometime. And I've been home unrequested while still getting decent miles 10+ times in a year, so I'll give em a thumbs up.

I'm not sure on the extra pay, but that would be nice. It's not my first time in the city there. Both receivers I can park overnight, so that's what I'll do.

I feel you on that. Every time I go into the city, it feels like a first time for some reason lol. That's some good mileage though

Dang it sure has been a year hasn't it? Time sure flies when you're running Climate Miles lol. You ran 130k your 1st year here, that's really good...it's only gonna go up from there. You'll probably be in the mid to upper 140s each year running here, especially since you've proven yourself reliable.
