I'll throw my monkey wrench in...I've never cared for the organizer clipboards. My boss has provided one to each of us, however, so what I do is keep my supplies in that one (pens, blank forms, etc.), and I stick with what I've always preferred for my primary one: cheap press board legal size, I can get them for under $5. I can see one last several years before I have to replace it, and it's lightweight in case you do need to carry it with you in and out of customers. Oh, and as an added bonus, I can write important information on it in Sharpie (frequently used phone numbers, company contact info if I need to share it with the customer, notes about particular stops, etc.).

I had a seat organizer I bought from a truck stop and it slipped right over the passenger seat.

This is what I use. $20 for the two of them. The plastic clipboard has blank trip sheets, POD stickers, and office supplies. Most importantly, it fits well on the steering wheel. The plastic accordion folder has 0-4 months bills and misc. Then everything goes into a file cabinet at the house, never to be seen again. I'm digging that trapper keeper that @tucker put up though.

I use a couple of aluminum clipboards I bought at Staples. One holds my loose leaf coloring book... er, paper logs. The other holds my waybills and bill of lading. About $10 each. I personally don't want the thick clipboards sold at the truck stops, besides which they are too expensive. I file away logs and waybills after they are done, no need to keep a thick clipboard.
