You're not, but you're missing the good looks for the complete package!

We're not dependent on trucking for revenue (we carry our own stuff), but retail demand remains strong, so we just grin and bear the fuel prices and go.

On the farm side, used equipment prices are sliding hard, and we're looking to pick up some stuff now that prices don't give me heartburn anymore....

I hadn’t saw any of the cats meow heavy hitters posting in here. Must be busy working.

@Accidental Trucker I've been following skid steer prices for a while now and they are finally starting to come down. Still a long way to go.
You’ll see some 20k cheaper then others and those used to move but now also are not. I watch the Cat 299d3 with high flow as I’d love to have one with a mulcher head one day. I also have hard on for the Cat 306 to 308 range excavators.

Thought I was having deja vu. Used to get it a lot. Now it’s kind of the opposite. Yeah I’ve been here done this before. Strange phenomenon deja vu. Haven’t had it in years. Kind of miss it. Lol.

I think if you live in Florida or Georgia you should close your doors and go become a coal miner.
If enough of you do this, the rates can go up :p

Sitting on South Park Fl. today. Been here before. Not much has changed, doubt I’ve missed anything. Had a load set up yesterday going to Birmingham Al, paying $1200. Went to pick it up, and it’s been postponed till Monday. Of course it has I thought to myself. 3 hrs of my time plus $60 fuel wasted. Going to DH farther north later tonight maybe. Broker “Magellan” had loads posted yesterday Miami to Nashville .50 cpm. WOW!! I can DH as far as Macon without lowering my overall average. I’m not surprised. Holidays and the weeks before and after are always terrible. We need to be home in a week, for about a week. Trying to enjoy the ups and downs, the highs and lows as entertainment instead of frustration and stress. So far every time one load fell apart, a better one has come up. My Trailer has been rejected twice. Coca Cola, and another load of empty pop cans. Similar to Alcan. Ended up finding better loads. No choice but take the bad with the good, keep moving forward, or fall behind.

depending on what you want to do with them, and what you have for dealers we still have a bunch of IR bobcats, that have been pretty good, I don’t know about newer models, but the older ones have the same engines as the TK reefers, the older t320s are pretty bullet proof if you can find them with a little over 2-2500 hours it’s probably already had the undercarriage done, and will get good life out of it

The bigger stuff I do like the cats, but like with truck engines, you pay for the name, we’ve had good luck with Volvos as well, and everyone around here is done with Deere because the area dealer sold out and the new management are complete morons. I want to say my cousins volvo 160 has like 6k hours on it now and the mini 55 finally turned 2000 hours after 19 years,

Oh it’s just an inside joke I picked up from @Dave_in_AZ

I have no idea. I think many of us are legends in our own mind so it’s whatever you want it to be. ;)

2K hr skidsteers are starting to drop under 20K, or a little more from a dealer with the obvious stuff repaired. That's half of what they were six months ago.

We're looking for a skidsteer and a 20K lb class excavator. Hoping to get both for under $50K.

Because I need another payment like I need another hole in the head.
