Kinda, I chose to come here because it was the best move for me at the time and atm still is until if when I have decided it is time for me to start my own MC. I could explain why but no one cares they’ll make up excuses or not believe my numbers even if I show it or they’ll think I have special connections, we’ll I do but only to heaven not anything on earth.

I saw a LS BCO numbers for a full quarter. About 6 years ago.
Pulling dry van with his power only cheap leased tractor.
My jaw dropped to the floor as to why he was doing twice as much than me.
I was doing everything wrong. My bad. Good for him.
I wouldn't believed it without looking at his Excel sheets.
I showed him mines. He shook his head and smiled.

Thing to remember is the thieving broker always gets there cut first no matter what board you get it from.

Biggest and only complaint is communication.
Had issue with broker. Cloud said we are set up with broker broker says no.
Cloud and broker figured it out amongst themselves never communicated back to me.
Got a bid on a jb load and unless I stay on them I won’t get updates about the bid.

same thing can be done with your own MC. There was a freight guard up for CloudTrucks that had me getting denied by several brokers and I’ve always been denied by some due to CloudTrucks safety score and CloudTrucks won’t work with some brokers even good credit ones due to “reasons”. But I’ve always managed to find something to keep rolling at decent rates just got to keep looking. I also get most of my picks from the DAT load board now so really there’s no difference no advantage other than being able to lease a brand new trailer at a decent rate which I haven’t yet found any other place that would allow a brand new MC to do. Most require one year of authority to let you rent or lease a trailer so…. Since rates are much higher having a trailer compared to power only freight (most of the time) I am better off at CloudTrucks for the moment and when I do find great rates posted on the CloudTrucks app from internal boards it is convenient. Some people in my situation may find it’s the best choice for them at the moment or forever if they’re one of those ones who isn’t capable of attaining their own MC, that is not myself but like I mentioned being able to pull a new trailer with zero issues I can keep rolling instead of making shop stops to keep fixing issues. Maybe CloudTrucks will keep improving and maybe I’ll stay? Maybe they’ll renegotiate the % for me to stay? Oh and instant pay on all loads is pretty convenient, paid within minutes after submitting BOLs. This is a huge help for those who don’t have a large capital built up yet to float expenses.

I personally don’t care if the broker takes 99% of the load pay as long as what gets passed onto my rate is plenty enough and so far I haven’t had a single issue with that. In fact I’ve been fairing very well. I’ve had brokers call me offering loads with rates that I had to ask “did I do something wrong? Do you not like me?” Broker says “those are the rates the market is soft right now” I reply “I’m getting 3x and more than that for that lane and everywhere else”. Broker “what? How?” “I just keep looking.”

My tractor wasn’t cheap, I leased purchased it though a different carrier from new in 2020, worked non stop til December 2021 and paid it off $165,000.
