Cloud Trucks

I had a pretty easy time leaving as well. They had me a little nervous about finding a place to leave the trailer. It was down to the last couple hours before my final delivery before they got a place lined up. Other than that they were totally cool about everything. They worked with me on allowing time to get the truck emptied out and returned to where it needed to go before they termed my contract so I didn't have to worry about any insurance issue. My escrow was returned without any issues 45 days later. The overall experience with them was positive.

 

Is anyone really using this? How does the loadboard look? Any particular functions?
Need to know if makes sense to go under them.

Leasing on is the only way for you to get what you seek

 

Their app compiles loads from various sources into one place. You have the option to contact the brokers directly or tell Cloud your rate and they will present it to the broker and get back to you. You also have the option to find loads elsewhere if you choose to. They pay within minutes after every load. It goes on a pay card and you can transfer it to your bank or use the card like a debit card. They keep 18 percent 13 for lease on fee and 5 for cargo and auto liability. You can run power only, rent a trailer for 250/week or use your own trailer if you have one. They charge 30 per month for the ELD. It just plugs in under the dash and you can run it through your phone with Bluetooth. They deduct 200 per week for your escrow until you get up to 1k. I got it all back 45 days after I left. Fuel receipts are uploaded in the app and they will file your IFTA. As many have already said, a lot of brokers won't work with them. That's really the only negative thing I can say about them. The market is bad now, but that isn't their fault.

 

Why did you leave them if they're so great?

 

I'm not trying to promote them or bash them. Just giving the info since you seemed interested. The number of brokers that won't work them was a factor but mostly I just decided that being at home with a set schedule was more appealing. I spent a few months leased to Schneider and then a few months with Cloud Trucks. In the end I gave the truck back to SFI and went back to driving someone else's truck. No regrets. It didn't bankrupt me. Being an O/O just wasn't for me.

 

Only got back 750 of the 1,000 deposit with no explanation as to why.
